Re: Around the NHL
Has anyone else been impressed with what Buffalo's been doing lately? What they've done so far with the injuries they've had is just outstanding.

I'm not surprised to say the least. That team is solid from top to bottom, and very well coached. When Ryan Miller get's back into his groove (he's a top 5 goaltender in the league), they're going to be very tough to beat. They were my prediction to win the East.

Truthfully I wish the Wings had a player like him. It's strange how we have gone from a team employing some of the toughest mofos in the business for years (Kocur, McCarty, Grimson Probert) to a team that hasn't had a true tough guy in well over 5 years (though oddly i believe Avery did start his career in the D). We do have a young guy in GR, Callahan, who I hope can eventually be that Carcillo-like guy, but that is probably a pipe-dream
I wouldn't want him in Detroit at all. We don't need bums like him. I am even shocked that we are going after another pest/douche in Ruutu. I hope we could do a bit better then him but if it's a later round pick say 4th or 5th+ I all for that anything more is a serious overpay.
One guy I can't stand now is Ty Conklin can you say overrated 1-3 this year with a 3+ GAA is bad. I hope we go after a better backup then him.

Yeah I had them mixed up. If he costs us a cheap pick I am for it I wouldn't move much for him like maybe a 3rd round pick should be good. Just no Howard, Bertuzzi, Homer, Lidstrom, Datsyuk or Zetterberg or the usual guys. I can't see Ruutu having outstanding value considering he's a pending UFA and could walk for nothing.

Re: Around the NHL
Crosby just took a hit and limped off to his bench. Collided with his own team-mate. Should be fine but when they were laying down on the ice for a couple seconds I immediately thought it was his head. Phew, that woulda been bad.

Tootoo gets suspended, but Lucic doesn't? That's a huge "we made a mistake' statement by the NHL.

Wasn't a mistake; Bruins get away with this **** on a consistent basis.

You must have more hockey thoughts than
-bruins suck
-bruins cheat
-bruins suck
-go habs go
Thoughts on the re-alignment? Nothing?

There was an Eric Staal sighting in Calgary last night. The Hurricane captain had 2 Goals and 1 Assist, but they still lost 6-7. But good to see him start to play up to speed again.

Man The Blues are on fire if Hitchcock keeps this up he's easily coach of the year. Yes Leafs fans he's better then Ron Wilson this year. I have Wilson at #2 if The Leafs keep up their pace as well.
Wings really need some 3rd and 4th line help

Insecure? Dude, you haven't won anything since 67 and my team has 24 Cups. What the hell do I have to be insecure about? When the Leafs win the Cup every single year and finally catch up (isn't that every season for a Leafs fan?), then we'll talk. Until then, please be quiet.
And you guys forgot to add Ryan White >>> Brad Marchand on your list.

Re: Around the NHL
Cool video. Wish the AHL had video review because they have a ton of terrible referees.

Ok that video was really neat and of course the dramatic music made it that much better. I always wondered what it looked like for the folks in Toronto.

Holy smokes, settle down there bud. Considering every other post you make is about the Leafs, I'd say you're a little insecure....wouldn't you?
