Mr. Classy to the AL will be fantastic.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I actually think the Angels just did the Cards a huge favor. Time will tell, but I think Pujols is gonna be a terrible contract several years down the road.

And I am absolutely convinced that he has used HGH. Now that there's finally HGH testing, he's going to look mortal again. The players union actually wanted HGH testing in order to "level the playing field"; who do you think they were talking about?

Now the Cards can put Berkman at first and Craig in right and still have a very productive player at both positions while saving $25m or so.
Wut we've got here is... faaailure... to communakate.

Key word there. It might be a bad contract eventually, but not for a good long while.

I don't really care about the long-term impact of the deal, I care that he's no longer on the Cardinals, in our division, and their fans will be bitching and moaning. This hurts that team a ton in the short-term, I mean it is the best hitter in baseball.

Albert Pujols has agreed to a 10-year, $250 million deal with the Los Angeles Angels, sources told ESPN The Magazine's Buster Olney on Thursday.

The deal includes a full no-trade clause, which Pujols had been seeking and may have been a sticking point in his negotiations with the Miami Marlins.

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I wonder how much that money they had allotted for Pujols will be spent on other free agents. It would suck to see Prince go there. They could make a play for A-Ram and move him to 1B maybe?

C - Molina
1B - Berkman
2B - Schumaker???
SS - Greene?
3B - Freese
LF - Holliday
CF - Jay
RF - Craig

Nothing terribly scary about that lineup as of now.

I'll admit this thought did come into my head as well.

It's going to be very interesting to see what the Cards do. I guess they could be in the mix for Prince but somehow I don't think that's happening.

They said about a month ago that they wouldn't pursue Prince if Pujols left. That could just be posturing but if they didn't want to sign Pujols for the amount of money he got, why would they want to sign Prince for a huge amount?

He's 4 years younger than Albert (if you believe Albert is really only 31) and he's not going to get a deal that big. They could offer him the Texeira deal and that would still be less than what they were willing to pay Pujols. The way the market is going he might not even get that much so I don't think it's completely out of the question.

I hate this deal already. JS commenters are saying how Melvin should trade for Mark Trumbo now. He's terrible.

NY Post is saying the Halos have signed Wilson too.

But it's the Post, so who the hell knows.

That seems impossible but I didn't think they were going to give $250 million to Pujols either so who knows.

It's true.

5/$75.

Wow. I'm adopting the Angels.
