Great. He's not coming here. Ric Bucher knows the opposite of whatever is going to happen. He's probably just going off the story from earlier in the week. Doubt he has any actual sources.

Wojo reporting it gives me pause though.

I hope if Battier does come down here he tweets "taking my talents to south beach"

I heard rumors that the Spurs will amnesty Jefferson (30 mill for 3 years), and want to replace him with Battier...

Shane Battier would be a HUGE coup for Miami, especially if we keep Mike Miller. Our perimeter rotation would be the best in the league. Battier is an above average defender that could give us "efficient" minutes on offense and defense. That alone is an improvement from James Jones.

I still think we can live with Chalmers at PG and a change of pace in Cole. I would like to add a veteran like Earl Watson to round out that rotation. As for Center and PF, a healthy Haslem and Bosh playing some Center might be our best lineup. Add JoEL as the defensive rotational player. We do need to add a couple of power players with bulk. I am ok with giving Curry a chance if he has his weight issues under control. Przybilla is a nice option also. Maybe a Joe Smith or Kurt Thomas or just bring back Juwan Howard for another run as the experienced enforcer/ring chaser. Hopefully Pittman develops further this season to where he is ready for next season for heavy minutes.

Ric Bucher also said he'd take D.Rose over LBJ and that he LBJ last year was going to the Miami Heat. I don't trust him.

I'm guessing we don't get a real Center if Battier signs

Man, I'm feeling good!

Pg: Chalmers / (veteran) / Cole
Sg: Wade / Miller
Sf: James / Battier
Pf: Bosh / Haslem
Cc: Anthony / Curry / Pittman

If we can land Kwame on top of that? Just hand Miami the trophy now...

Yeah that would be a great second unit. Wonder if Jones is coming back. I'm assuming we'll bring back House or Bibby. Don't know who else we'd target for PG.

Earl Watson would be my top choice, with a bullet. Good defender, good shooter, and can play as a starter or as a reserve...

Anthony Carter at PG as the veteran
If we now land Kwame on top of Curry we are stacked. Period.

Good call on Watson. Had the same thought about his addition. Also would give Eric Reid the opportunity to shout "Elementary, my dear Watson!" after he sticks a three.
