first of all anyone who thinks we are trading STAT..GTFO not happening.

How can someone really be upset at getting on of the best defensive centers in the league when we already have two of the top 5 scorers in the league who can create there own shot?

Now this is the top of the ice berg there are more moves to come but how can anyone be upset some of u guys are fools!

Ken Berger:
- The Knicks today have jumped in to the lead (ahead of GS) to land Chandler surprising many people
- Either use amnesty on Billups or trade him, may have to move Turiaf too
- Knicks are in serious hunt for defensive backbone
- If you can make space for a guy like Chandler who is a fit, then it's worth using amnesty for Billups in order to create CAP SPACE
- Only 13.5 million in cap space for next season at the moment
- No one thought they had a way to get room for Chandler

I can't say I understand the sign-and-trade with the Mavs angle. I get how the "amnesty Billups and then sign Chandler" works but I don't see why the Mavs would want Billups instead of just going with Kidd for another year.

- Knicks aware of Paul's feelings on Chandler
- A team that got Chandler would have better chance of getting Paul for long term commitment
- Only way to get Paul would mean trading Melo or Stat straight up at this point, Berg doesn't know if this has been discussed
