I am a moron, please explain what this means to the Knicks?

Contract is front heavy. Most of the money is in the first few years. His paycheck will decrease every year/

So according to that new CBA rule, Amare's deal can be changed to 97 million instead of 100 mill.

You'd get a no from Nene, a no from Memphis, who's match that deal with a huge sign of relief, and a maybe from Dalembert, who happens to stink.

This is a Ben Wallace 2.0 signing. At best he is healthy for the first year or two.

The 4 year contract doesn't sound too bad to me, it's basically our window for a championship. Dolan can afford it.

Why is Dallas willing to blow apart a championship team? They are not cheap. Maybe they know somebody about Chandler's health that we don't.

I don't understand why people are saying Ty-C had one good year? He's basically had the same type year he always had but this time it was on a team that went far because of the other pieces and he got over the top because of his defense.

It's not out of the realm of reasonable to think the stars the Knicks have could do the same for the team and then him in turn put them over the top as he did with his defense in Dallas. Not saying that's exactly how it will turn out but the guy isn't a one season or series wonder.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

Michael Kay saying we are contenders with this move. That we can play with anyone in this league. That although Heat, and Bulls are still better, we are on par with the Celtics, and can beat any of these teams.

I guess 10 years of losing has taken it's toll. This is called a winning move. We'll eventually spend in the luxury tax around Melo, Amare.

Really, who else is going to help us that we can have not named Dwight? Jeff Foster?

carmelo = kobe
amar'e = pau
chandler = bynum

definitely looks like a phil jackson roster

Possibly, but the championship from a business standpoint will pay dividends, and the team has one of the most dedicated fan bases in the league, they won't be going anywhere. Cuban is putting them in position to sign a top 2012 FA. Returning Deron to his hometown would be huge for them.
