I'd offer Jordan that before Chandler, but that's still ridiculous. Chandler and Jordan are both 30 mill players total--at most.

The sad part about all of this.....if we had Gortat right now, we could land Ellis easily, Iggy easily and possibly even CP3. All these teams are looking for legit bigs. We had the perfect piece.... :(

Keep in mind that under the new CBA deals can be stretched. so the clips could stretch Butler next year and still have cap space for Dwight.

Sorry, can you explain that? I thought it was waived contracts that can be stretched out - what "stretch" are you referring to?

Under the CBA there is a stretch provision which teams can use to shed a player that is under contract. the salary cap hit would be lessened as the contract would be stretched out over twice the current length of the contract.

Yeah, so you're insinuating that the Clippers, who just signed Butler to a contract, will waive him next summer, pay him $16m to disappear, and use the space to sign Dwight? They can't stretch his cap impact if he is still under contract.

The problem is we don't hear any deals for ORL... except that Larry Hughes will be around for training camp.

that's like a fact. Doesn't count as a deal. deals are always kept quiet until they either happen or blow up. which is when we hear about them.

I'm not insinuating anything. I'm saying that they could still sign Dwight outright.

Not liking this. Way to quiet on Magic's end, is it that possible that Otis is working so quietly to get something? Also, why is it that no one is reporting Dwight's intention is to stay (reportedly)? Everyone is still making moves for Dwight and planning on it, but it seems like he doesn't want to go?

There's no was GS does that deal

Good try though... I wonder if there's a way we could snatch Camby (expiring) from Portland with Hedo or Duhon/Q-Rich/Bass
