Speaking of veteran defensive 3's, Prince just signed back with Detroit for 4/27. See, this is the problem with being an okay team. Prince is a good player, but he's not going to make a difference with them, and he'll help ensure that they're not bad enough to get a high pick. It'd be different if they were a contender, but most likely - they're stuck in the middle - and they'll stay stuck in the middle. I guess it's safe to say that Daye has not turned out to be the player they hoped he'd be.

Perhaps in a year or 2, the Wiz get lucky in the draft and free agency, and they might be in a position where it makes sense to take Prince off of the Pistons hands - maybe a Blatche for Prince trade.

Why would we want Tayshaun Prince, he's old.

Butler just signed with the Clippers, 3 yrs/$24 million.

The Prince and Caron signings are idiotic.

Well the Clippers are the same team that paid Foye $4 million/year

Pistons retain Jerebko for $16 million/4 years

That seems like a reasonable deal for a young player. I am not sure why they paid so much for Prince on a rebuilding team.

Battier to the Heat makes me sick. He's exactly the type of role player that will keep them from imploding every year.

I did and I'm still asking the same question. No use for him on this team at all.

Re re-read then. Nobody said they want him on the team.

He's responding to that, Ruz. It does look like you're saying that's something worth doing there.

Woj is reporting CP3 to the Lakers for Bynum and Odom. Doesn't work under the cap (i think), but including Okafor does (and would seem to make sense for LA).

LOL. Now Woj says it's Gasol not Bynum.

I don't get this from LA unless they get Howard for Bynum. Don't get the deal from Hornets or Rockets too. Why not get the Minny pick in this upcoming draft? Hornets are going for mediocrity with Martin, Scola, etc. Rockets really have no depth beyond Gasol.

Chandler deal is a dumb move IMO. McGee is going to be paid, and I don't want to committ what it will take to resign him. I'd try and trade him now for a future 1st

The deal for all 3 teams don't make any sense. Lakers lose all their size really, and I would assume Okafor will go to LA in the deal, but still.

Houston gets Pau Gasol??? Ok?

Hornets get Kevin Martin and Luis Scola, two solid pieces but they don't have a point guard, or a 2-guard, or a center.

Each team now have holes the size of Texas.

There-goes Odom's Hollywood/Kardashian/Reality TV limelight.

Wow, I'm trying to absorb all of this. Gut reaction, good deal for the Lakers. Pau is older. They still have Bynum down low and now Chris Paul & Kobe Bryant form the best backcourt ever. At this stage its probably good to have Kobe play more off the ball.

I think we should sell high on McGee. He's going to get an outrageous contract that he won't be worth at all. Blatche looks underpaid now :). I'd want a pick in this upcoming draft and a young prospect. Perfect deal is Utah's GSW pick that is top 8 protected where we take back Okur who is expiring. Utah doesn't need McGee, so I/m figuring out a Wiz send McGee to Team X who sends assets to Utah who sends Okur+GSW pick to Wiz.

I just can't figure out how that's not a terrible, terrible deal for NOH. If they're going to claim all they could get was Houston's spare parts, I'm not saying they are liars, but their pants smell heavily of smoke.
