It doesn't make sense. Maybe an attempt to get Chris Paul to step up and say something.

carmelo = kobe
amar'e = pau
chandler = bynum

definitely looks like a phil jackson roster

very true actually

Also Toney douglas = Derek fisher

because of his ability to play defense and hit the 3-ball. I know you compared Kobe to Melo because of their ability to score in every which way but Shumpert physically has alot of similarities to MJ and Kobe. Kobe and MJ were both super athletic, incredibly strong pound for pound like Shump and MJ and Kobe could also run an offense. Shump has played PG most of his college career so maybe he could develope that ability.

Meh, better than TD or Shumpert running the point I guess.

SO far Kay's on record saying we are contenders to get to the finals and Melo is the best 3 in the league.... such a big head but so empty.

The Point Guard is easier to find than a real center. Why do you think the Lakers win with Fisher who is a system player? Dallas won with a 5'10 PG as a starter.

The only good thing about this is that we are getting rid of Billups and his maddening shot selection.

Multiple sources tell Newsday that Tyson Chandler will be a Knick. Billups and Turiaf involved to clear cap space.

With Tyson Chandler on the verge of signing w/NY, Miami is looking into ways of acquiring Chauncey Billups, league sources tell SI.

I think Shumpert is more the Pippen in this equation if he reaches his ceiling defensively. (That's not to say he'll be the player Pippen was obviously but rather he could perform some of the functions Pippen did.)

It's been explained so many times already why this is not a Phil Jackson team.

Sounds done. With the renegotiation rule, we may be blowing it in a big way.

Another one of those old Bulls... Curry, Chandler, Crawford we just need to trade for Gordon.
Jazz: Under reconstruction, we'll be back.

I stopped posting here a while ago but i had to comment on this. I love this signing. We would finally have an anchor to this defense. This reminds me when we got Marcus Camby. For this team to be legit title contenders we need a guy like this to stop lebrons and wade penetration to the basket which he did when he was in dallas.

Also i hope we dont deal amare for cp3. Amare is the heart and soul to this team. He is the one that started the resurgence of nba basketball in NY. I dont think there is a player more driven in this league to bring a title to ny.

Don't act crazy... Kobe handled the ball when it mattered just like Mike did in Chicago... and since when is Jason Kidd 5'10"?
