Kevin Pritchard traded for him on draft night so he must know him well and obviously is still high on him. Other then that, i don't know much about this guy.

I got to see him play a lot at arizona state with harden. he is a great guy with tons of heart. he has the ability to be a really good pf, glad to see him get a second chance after his acl injury.
I like Draft Picks/Cap Space, long walks on the beach, and short youtube clips.

From DraftExpress:
"Solid, yet unspectacular, Jeff Pendergraph showed some nice things in the two games we saw him play, solidifying his status as a potential role player for the next level. He’s having a pretty nice season thus far, upping his scoring and rebounding rates from last year and currently ranking #1 amongst all prospects in points per possession. He’s one of the most efficient players in college basketball, shooting 67% from the field and 79% from the free throw line, which speaks to the role he plays for ASU and the fact that he understands his limitations.

Okay, the link is enough. Don't copy and paste 3 paragraphs because that starts getting into infringement. Just a paragraph, max.

Sounds like he could potentially wind up Shane Battier-esque. I'm sure it's for a rather small salary, so I'm fine with it.

I know. Unless that's just an off topic remark, I think you misread what I said.

I doubt Pendergraph is a replacement for McRoberts spot on the roster. More like Jones spot.

This. I've been lurking around the D League site lately and it is impossible not to notice this guy. Solid double double numbers. Hope he performs well enough. Guys in the D-League are hungry.

This could be a really good signing for us. Hear me out.

Guy was a late pick, wasn't getting minutes in Portland because they had, frankly, a lot of big guys back in 09/10. aldridge, oden, camby, przybila, cunningham... even with injuries, guy was a rookie and they only managed to squeeze him into 39 games, 10 mpg... not bad. Guy seemed to have performed fine. Had a 14 rebound game here, a 23 point game there... but mostly just little games, 10-12 minutes, a few points, a few boards. Sure.

Then he got injured, waived, and disappeared for the 2010-2011 season.

Assuming he's healthy... what if he was just underused by Portland? Guy was played at C a lot after all the injuries happened... Rookie forward guy suddenly playing C... gah. Of course he didn't perform amazingly.

I think this is a good signing. If he's healthy, we could see some standard growth, plus I feel like the guy is going to come out playing with fire - he's been out for a year, he's gotta prove himself if he ever wants a bigger contract.

I like deals like this - find a guy who might still be a diamond in the rough a bit, sign him super cheap. Low risk move with a nice potential reward.

Best case scenario we get 15 mpg out of him and 6 pts 5 rebounds. it could happen.
