shumpert is the wildcard here, if he provide us defense and spark as a rookie, boy we can be really good...

With Tyson Chandler on the verge of signing w/NY, Miami is looking into ways of acquiring Chauncey Billups, league sources tell SI.

If Billups goes to the Heat, they'll be very scary.

This is why it is dangerious for people to get too excited over rumors that don't logically have a way of panning out. Wasn't the backup plan to Paul always best C and Nash?

Chandler might be the best C we can get. He's the 2nd best defensive C. One of the best defensive players in the league. Now we just have to get Nash.

Wait, I'm sure I'm late on this. But what the hell is our point guard situation gonna be?

Gasol isn't being set free so it would be a waste of opportunity to get this deal done to take a run at him.

Nene is a bit of a diva and wants the ball all the time and is seeking the same cash if not more. Sure he's more offensively skilled than Ty-C but he's not a better defender or rebounder, the biggest Knick weaknesses.

Dalembert would have been a decent fit but he's going to probably get about $12-13mil per himself. He's not nearly the defender or rebounder Chandler is even if he's a bit cheaper.

If Ty-C stays healthy... big IF, if he does, this is a great fit even at a somewhat inflated price. Of course the big IF could make him an expensive suit wearer... He wanted more, got offered more by another team and looks like he's signing for less with the Knicks. How often has that happened?

I cringed. This would be the ultimate way for Billups to get back at us.

What else do you want the Knicks to do? Clearly this wouldn't be happening if the Knicks had any remote chance of getting CP3, or if they didn't think it would give them a better shot down the road if possible.

Cp3 is going to the Lakers.. Our second best option it appears is Chandler..

Question is, where does this leave Dwight... He on his way to the Nets?

Multiple sources tell Newsday that Tyson Chandler will be a Knick. Billups and Turiaf involved to clear cap space.

ah crap I had a bad feeling that was going to happen with chancey haha..

Baron Davis averaged 7 assist, I like that. I don't like that I have heard way to much about him being overweight and lazy the past few seasons than a good passer.

Don't act crazy... Kobe handled the ball when it mattered just like Mike did in Chicago... and since when is Jason Kidd 5'10"?

Just like Melo handles the ball when it matters? All you do is give it to him and move away.

Barea started at PG, Kidd at SG.

On defense...yes. Go watch the games and tell us who ran the offense. The type of player that we need is not easy to find.

Stevenson started at the 2... Melo doesn't handle the ball the way Kobe or Mike did.

Does Billups have any choice in where he goes? If so, one would think he'd like to get back to his family out west....

Everyone loved the original Allan Houston signing which was great.

Everyone hated the contract extension that Allan Houston got.

If Billups forces his way to the Heat, I hope we punch him in the thigh.

I'm telling you guys.

Grant Hill as our pg may not be as crazy as it sounds. Just put Shumpert in the backcourt to help him out. He still has great handle, passing and smarts.
