KBergCBS Ken Berger
On Knicks-Chandler front, sources say it looks like Billups will be amnestied and Turiaf will be sent out in separate deal. No sign/trade.

Let's do it, make it official.

Here's something I just found to back up what I said about the possible 3 way trade to help the Knicks ink Chandler.

Chandler is expected to be a Knick, source says. Could be a straight-up s&t with Dallas or three-team trade involving Denver or Sac."

Best thing about getting a legit defensive C...

No more freakin excuses from all the D'Antoni apologists.

Top 10 defense or GTFO of NY.

I do not understand what is going on. Not mad, just confused. Come home from a **** day at work and I guess we're done with any big 3 and now we have no PG in a PG driven system? Just fire D'Antoni now and hire Phil Jackson, we all know it's coming.

6th seed is barely a playoff team? Your making us sound like the Bucks or Sixers. Relax, bro. Give it a chance before you knock it.

How is being overly positive and better than being overly negative? Never understood that criticism. We're all making predictions here.

Are you really comparing our team to Dallas? We can't even win a playoff game while Dallas has been perennial contenders for pretty much an entire decade. Obviously, I'm gonna sound like the Debbie downer here in a pool of overly positive fans.

yeah.... the team that lost in the first round to a 7 seed the year before  face it nobody thought the mavs had a chance last year

Can't say I'm a fan of the amnesty. Won't miss Billups, but that amnesty is valuable.

See, I agree with this.

But we're not privy to inside knowledge that the Knicks brass most certainly is. Plan A's door may have very well already been shut.

And CP3 really was our only Plan A, cause there was no way Dwight or Deron was taking less to come here.

Unless Amare is going to be traded for CP3, I don't like this at all. It doesn't make us contenders this season, and obviously gives us no more room to operate. Not only that, but we're using the amnesty on Billups and thus are even more screwed if Amare goes down.

In essence, we're completing our "big 3", but one of those 3 is Tyson Chandler.

Key points of day--

-Supposedly signed, or will sign, Chandler.
-Loophole can net us Paul
-Large question mark over PG position

cap room doesnt matter, you need to trade for these guys cause they want max money. only way u get max money is to opt out and resign with ur current team. these guys want to and will be traded to places they will resign. hence why we cant get them, not enough pieces now.

Wut? He's not a bad signing but he's the worst signing? That's like saying the 400lb girl isn't too fat at all, she's obese.

Where were we? Oh, that's right the lottery. The Mavs were among the favorites all season last year before Dirk went down. They were WAY ahead of the Lakers in the standings before Dirk got hurt.
