I don't know what people were watching last year. Billups still has a few tricks up his sleeve and can hit a shot, but that's about it. He can't defend, gets hurt, and chucks, chucks, chucks. We will find a vet who can do at least as well.

I'm not worried about losing Billups at all. I am concerned about finding a PG of the future but that's not an immediate concern.

I can assure you that the Knicks have a PG lined up to take over.

The answer has been, and always will be, no you cannot re-sign amnestied players.

why cant ny roll the dice on those 2?

other then them having to take massive pay cuts to come here? they don't want to come here horribly bad like CP3 did and hes pretty clearly going to get a trade and extend here in the next few days

ny has wat 14 mill pay space, thats close enough

i just think blowing ur cap when plan A is not closed is just not a good idea

NOT happy.

...We opened cap space to add Two or Three max stars. We added Two. We are now building a contender....which Donnie would have done.

We are going to be paying the luxury tax and adding salary from now on as a championship contender does. (see Lakers, Mavericks)

What's not to be happy about? We are going to be a Top 3 team.

See, I agree with this.

But we're not privy to inside knowledge that the Knicks brass most certainly is. Plan A's door may have very well already been shut.

And CP3 really was our only Plan A, cause there was no way Dwight or Deron was taking less to come here.

as long as they come out and say it that, then its all good

they must have got word that cp3 wouldn't come in the summer for less and was gonna sign somewhere. he was the obvious target. this quick change says something.

I could see D'Antoni benching Tyson. I'm serious. I mean, he only played 28 minutes last season. I could see MD reducing that to 15.

He probably saw this type of move coming. That's why he didn't return. The Dolan involvement in the Melo deal was the last straw for him. It's clear the ownership will do what the ownership feels like doing.

4 different starting PGs in the frame of 3 years.

Chris Duhon/Raymond Felton/Chauncey Billups/?

Dallas 2009-2010 First round playoff exit
Dallas 2010-2011 Title winners

The biggest difference between the two rosters and rotation? Tyson Chandler.....and a much improved defense.

I hope he can have a similar impact with the Knicks.

You guys kill me, you complain about Chandlers knees but CP3's knees don't scare you, wow. This is a good signing cause Chandler would have signed with a team that wants to compete and would have tried to kill us in the end. We desperately needed a big man, we got one! We complained about DEFENSE, we got it! Depth, we got it! Trade Billups and Turiaf for a decent point and we're set. Sign Grant Hill! You don't need three all stars to win a championship.

I can hear Kurt Thomas screaming at the bus now "Wait for me guys!"
