The Hornets are near a deal to send Chris Paul to the Lakers for Andrew Bynum and Lamar Odom, league source tells Y! Sports.

Hornets working to finalize details on 3-team deal to send Chris Paul to Lakers, Gasol to Rockets and Odom, KMart, Scola to NO, sources say.

Summary Trade
Rockets Receive - Gasol
Rockets Send - Martin, Scola

Lakers Receive - Paul
Lakers Send - Gasol, Odom

Hornets Receive - Martin, Scola, Odom
Hornets Send - Paul

My thoughts as well.

I'm guessing that Okafor will be included in the deal, but who knows.

SG: Bryant
SF: Artest
PF: Gasol
C: ??? Okafor (?)

That's a very nice team, but I'm confident that the Heat can compete with that.

If its just Paul, I look at them as a worse version of us. If they get Dwight too, it's pretty much on for the next few years.

Oh wow, that's an even worse trade by the Lakers IMO. Gasol > Bynum, and again their frontcourt strength is gone.

I guess they could try Bynum for Dwight, but Bynum alone isn't worth it at all for Orlando.

Damn, I thought Gasol for Cp3 was a bad trade, but that's a great deal for the Lakers.

I don't get why they would do this deal unless they know they are getting Dwight as well. Who will be their C the first few games when Bynum is suspended? Who will be their PF?

F*** I think they are going to get him somehow. All they can offer for Dwight right now is Bynum and then whoever their young/inexperienced guys are. That would be robbery.

If they don't end up w/Dwight I'm not worried at all - one less front court to deal with.
