This is more than I think Chandler ought to be paid. But it addressed our biggest need. All in all, I like it. I think our starting PG is going to be Anthony Carter who can fill the (wait for it) Derek Fisher role just fine.

No you can't, since he's a Hornet

Yeah, with the Chandler move it seemed obvious that the Knicks didn't think they had a good chance at Paul.

If we have to give up on that, Chandler is a good plan B. And we still could theoretically be players for Dwight Howard (Chandler/Shumpert/Fields for Howard at the deadline?)

Sounds about right...

Well, considering they kept Bynum in the CP3 deal, the window is still WIDE open for Dwight to be traded to LA as well.

At least the Lakers don't have a super team with Paul, Kobe AND Gasol. They'll be really good though, obviously. TBH this is better than him going to the Celtics.

Again, the "Derek Fisher role" only works on a team already stacked with playmakers. The Lakers had Kobe, Odom, and Gasol and even Artest to an extent. Then they had Bynum to wreak havoc on the low post. Even Fisher himself was a pretty good passer. We don't have one decent passer on our entire roster.

idk...call me crazy but i'd say the trio of Paul, This Old Kobe, and Soon To Be Injured Bynum, isnt that much better than our trio of Melo, STAT, and Chandler

Yeah if he wasn't coming to us, at least he'll stay in the Western Conference.

i'm not sure they're better as they stand currently. that front court went from great to pretty bad. kobe & cp3 will be a handful but there's a little redundancy there and not much else on that team.

True, but other teams will probably make better offers. If Shumpert has a nice year, Chandler/Shumpert/Field will be a strong offer, for example. Hehehehe.
