I was thinking the exact same thing.

How much do you think Odom is hating life right now?

You know i ve always been so hesitant to support the team on big contracts to guys like Chandler due to our bad track record. At first I wasnt to pleased with the offer for chandler. I thought that we were doing a rushed move for no apparent reason. Now after seeing all these reports of the Lakers possibly picking up CP3..rumors of them going after Dwight..its kind of makes sense that the Knicks said everyone around the league is getting better...we need to address a major need since we cant bring that Big 3 talent right now. SO it kind of makes sense that the Knicks did this. After the playoffs our hole at the 5 position was just to easy to exploit by playoff teams. So I actually support the move and it makes more sense to me. I dont post alot but this is a big move for us.

They'll rent a place in NO and move there during the season. I'm sure she's not happy. Same with him.

But in this business, buying a house and rooting yourself sometimes isn't a good idea.

Yeah, with the Chandler move it seemed obvious that the Knicks didn't think they had a good chance at Paul.

If we have to give up on that, Chandler is a good plan B. And we still could theoretically be players for Dwight Howard (Chandler/Shumpert/Fields for Howard at the deadline?)

Our only chance died literally the exact second he said he would extend with another team, the only way he was ever coming here is if he said knicks or i dont extend and then either we traded for him with basically sending nothing in return or he came here in F.A. this dream has been dead for a few days now guys

That's a good deal for the Hornets, getting Pau and Odom. They might still be a playoff team.

Im not sure how CP3 and Kobe will work either. I just HOPE the magic dont do something crazy here and send Howard to the lakers too.

They don't? Gasol, up until the playoff blunders last year, was considered the best PF in the NBA. At the very worst he was #2 behind Dirk. Then you still have Kobe who's at worst the #2 SG in the NBA and still a Top 7 player coupled with CP3, the best PG in the league. That's the very definition of a superteam.

Actually, I'm gonna have to disagree. I think Carmelo/Amar'e/Chandler is just as good as Paul/Kobe/Bynum. Kobe is old and Bynum gets hurt a lot.

Gasol was traded, dude...not Bynum. Lakers have a huge gap at PF as of right now.

Marc Stein @ESPNSteinLine 4 sec

If rest of deal goes through as proposed, sources tell ESPN that HOU would send Kevin Martin, Luis Scola and Goran Dragic to N.O. for Gasol
