This entire day of rumors just shows how clueless writers are and how they rush to break news. Hill to the Knicks...Fields to the Pacers for Hibbert...Paul to Lakers in three way deal with Houston...Knicks to sign Tyson Chandler...Hill no longer to Knicks, no sign of Hibbert deal, Celtics may not need a third team to get Paul, Lakers deal with Houston involved falls through but now a straight trade between LA and NO is going down.

That all leaked in the past 24 hours.

Yeah they're probably planning on building around Paul as Kobe gets older.

I wonder whether Dallas would do it, but under the new 150% rule, Turiaf, Balkman, Rautins, TD, and Walker adds up to 9 million letting us give Chandler 13.5 million starting salary which can add up to 58 million over four years.

That is a whole lot of players and Balkman cuts into their 2012 plans obviously. On the other hand, Turiaf is a backup center (and can go to Denver in a deal), TD provides some offensive spark, and Walker can play. Plus they get a 4.5 million exception.

Completely agreed. 99% are clueless. And the worst part is that they all jump on each other's stories so if one guy reports something (right or wrong) they all jump on it.

Btw where was that Fields for Hibbert rumor? I don't want to sound greedy, but damn I would've preferred that to Chandler at $60 million. I'm ecstatic we got Tyson, but I didn't know we were in the running for Hibbert (I love this kid).

So New Orleans went for the maximum talent package, as opposed to prospects etc. And they certainly got back a lot of talent, with Martin, Scola, and Odom. Probably just want to field a respectable team and try to stop bleeding dollars.
