At first I was wondering if this may mean Kos would make his move to mw. Now I'm wondering if he senses a chance to get back in the mix at ww. I mean let's face it, there is a chance that gsp never returns to form (I hope this isn't true).

NVM, Kos tweeted he asked the ufc for a mw fight.

Cancel Vitor/Rumble, send Rumble down to 170, Bisping fights Vitor.

OT but speaking of Rumble, did anyone else see the report than said he was at 230 before his last ww fight?

That's just absolutely insane.

He has been known to cut 50 lbs to get to WW on several occasions.

He said on Inside MMA this week that he cuts 50 to 60 pounds. He seriously needs to stay at 185.

He also said he'd fight at LHW if Dana asked him to.

What bad luck for GSP. Feel bad for the guy. But it's good news for Condit.

Injuries always suck, but especially when it's to someone as dedicated as GSP. Nobody puts in more effort to maintain their health and athleticism. It'll be tragic if he comes back less of a fighter, but if anyone can come back strong it's GSP.

In the meantime, Diaz/Condit is an incredible fight.

Wow, **** news.

I actually like the Diaz-Condit fight more than GSP-Diaz and Condit-Koscheck put together, but I don't want to see GSP's career threatened to make that happen. Hope he comes back close to 100%. It will be tough though, because his first fight back will be against the top guy in the division, whether it's Condit, Diaz, Fitch, Ellenberger, or someone else. Ideally he would get a warm up fight after being out for nearly nearly 2 years (his last fight will have been April of this year).

I do think this opens the division up a little bit, as guys like Fitch and even Koscheck could earn their way to a rematch by winning the interim title.

$hitty news indeed... and even though I understand it, at least initially, I'm only lukewarm on having an interim champion.

Definetely sucks for GSP. Will he have that explosiveness and even if he does, will he have the confidence to really use it?

if you can take a couple positives out of this, it's that you could make the case for either diaz or condit being more deserving for the shot. whoever won gsp/diaz was going to have to face condit anyways. also, this helps get rid of a small logjam at welterweight considering a loss will put one of these guys back two to three fights, along with ellenberger and fitch being right on the edge of shots at the championship.

Could see Weidman jump the queue too and get a big fight.

a few ww's probably are. fitch still needs to knock off johny hendricks. upsets are possible and they're arguably helpful for the ufc right now.
