on the other hand, tyson chandler's health history worries me, but he fills a need with this team.. not offensively at center, but on defense and he plays intense..

I was saying all along, that chris paul, no matter how much I love his game, was not a real option..

and he's back :D

I will be away the next couple of days mostly, so I had to sneak in.. busy day at the office and all of a sudden I see this!!! LOL..... crazy day I guess.. :D

This.

A'mare playing center sucked last year. Now he'll go back to being a PF, who will stop him? Having the best front court in the league, that's amazing. Far cry from the likes of Othella Harrington, Clarence Weatherspoon, Eddy Curry, etc.

This is a no brainer move.

everyone under the cap. but he doesn't have a great reputation for being a pro in a bad situation. he aint worth the risk to most teams.

Is his fat, stupid, bearded ass even in shape right now?

Your only mild excitement about Chandler is going to disappoint a lot of people who thought you'd be jumping for joy.

No surprise that a large part of it is made up of "I was right" statements.

What percentage of the contract does the team that picks him up have to pay? He has $14 million coming this year.

Speaking of Chandler, what are the chances that we have 2 Chandlers on the roster next season?

Any rumors/words as to where Wilson might sign?

We should try for Barea at PG for the MLE.

Haha, no it's okay. I'm pretty excited about the season, and although I thought Paul was a possibility, I never viewed it as a sure thing.

Kevin McHale is probably peeing himself. He loves big men and Pau Gasol would be a huge piece for them.

Tyson needs a dynamic point guard who has uncanny passing abilities to maximize his talents ala Chris Paul and Jason Kidd. That's the only part of this pickup that gives me red flags because at this point in the signing period we are point guard less.

The only way this move appeases me is if D'Antoni gets fired and Phil Jackson steps in.

It won't stop him from defending and rebounding.

We're a better team, but before this signing I thought we were a lock for a 2nd round exit, no worse or better, and that's still how I see things. I think Miami and Chicago are still better teams than we are. I'd say we're pretty close with Boston, but they're a team that isn't going to be hurt by a shortened training camp/preseason, because of their experience together.

Under the old rules, you don't get the MLE if you are under the cap. We might have $2.5M though.
