I honestly dont know what to expect from TT this season, I havent really seen him play, and his rep is as a defensive player and as more of a garbage/cleanup/putback type of player offensively. If the team pushes the ball he should be able to pick up points on the break or seconday break due to his athleticism and hops, but that can be boom or bust from game to game.
It sounds like Baron may be bought out, so it would have to be Twan as leading scorer or maybe Irving, but that is asking a lot out of a rook who only played 11 games last season. If Sessions is here and spends a good amount of his time at the 2 he could possibly be a 15 point guy but that may be a stretch as well.

TT is gonna be a garbage man at first, but he has great footwork, great body control, and good hands...his FT form is questionable, but he seems to have a great work ethic, and supposedly was working on his form all summer so I'll wait to make an honest assessment of him until we see him playing in some actual games. Playing with Kyrie will definitely help him as he adds new moves to his offensive game. He was fairly effective when they ran the pick and roll with Thompson at Texas, so that's definitely something I'll be looking for- a nice pick and roll 2 man game with Irving and TT.

Hey, I'm a TT fan. I had him #5 on my Big Board months before anyone else. He has good hands and an excellent first step. The latter is what will jump out to people who haven't seen him play. He has potential to be a devastating face-up 4 and can get where he wants to on the court.

The free throw shooting, well, that's another story.

But will he have the jumper to let him use that first step?

For a 20 year old he can finish pretty good with his off hand. I'll take that. I think for his first few years his first step and finish ability will help him to become a 10 ppg guy. As far as refining that J to help him become a threat outside the paint, its really about how hard he's willing to work. He showed the IQ at Texas to know he'll have to developa solid jumper to take advantage of his driving ability.

I will say this, he's going to have to be our power forward of the future. All this talk of drafting Anthony Davis, I dunno, doesn't make much sense when TT does the same things. It's either PJIII, Drummond, or Lamb for me at this point. If you can't get those guys, Rivers, Gilchrist, and Barnes are who I look at after that. My Big Board is coming soon.

I cant believe I'm saying this, but I do agree with Steely on his draft asessmentother than Rivers, I know he is young but the little I have seen of him he looks like a chucker to me. His shot selection isnt good from what I've seen and he seems like he has an attitude as well.
If Davis can bulk up some for the NBA game and keep his athleticism I wouldnt worry as much about how his game would translate.

Question remains.

No Baron Davis. This is getting uglier by the second.

Maybe the Cavs are going back to Fratello ball from the mid-90s. Scores in the 70s, no shots before 20 seconds off the shot clock, lots of putback baskets and guard isos from the top of the key with forwards crossing on the baseline. It was awful to watch but it got some marginally talented teams to solid records.

Of course that flies in the face of being crappy again to improve draft standing.

It's a good question and the answer......the next guy you draft. Irving is still a bit green. TT has game, really is not a shooter. The Cavs ain't able to score much very often. May seldom see 100 pt...or 90.

I think the team wants to push the ball so 90 pts shouldnt be too hard for them, but 100 on a regular basis probably isnt gonna happen. they are getting about 25 between Sessions and Irving so far, but Twan has looked like junk tbh. The way coach Scott has been doling out minutes we may not have a player average more than 15 a game but the bench has really scored more than expected so far.
