Gasol appreciation thread

Sincere thanks to Pau Gasol, one of my all-time favorite Lakers. Your arrival vaulted us back to relevance, and brought us two championships. Also, one of the classiest people in all of pro sports. Thanks for everything you did for the purple and gold.

Without this man we don't make it to three finals and win two of them. I just hate that his last moments as a Laker was that albatross of a playoff performance. RIP.

Without Gasol, we'd still be ringless post-Shaq. Thanks for all your contributions in LA.

I think we can all agree that without Pau the Lakers probably don't even sniff the Finals. I wish we had completed a 3-peat during his tenure with the Lakers. His departure just doesn't seem right. Even though he is making millions of dollars I legit feel bad for the guy. This was just so unexpected. I truly love everything Pau helped the Lakers achieve when he was with the Lakers

I wish he got traded after winning a title. I feel bad that he was thinking redemption for the coming season then find out he'll be playing for another team.

thank you Pau.

Thank you Pau! Your humble personality and insane skill level will be missed.

Typing that was a surreal feeling. Almost can't believe these guys aren't playing for us anymore. No matter what color jersey they have on though, they'll be remembered as LAKERS greats.

A little to premature, remember the player deals cannot be signed until Friday should of waited, one thing Lakers fans know little of

Well looks like we are not parting ways after all. Would have been nice to have cp3 though

The deal looks dead. Thank god. We can not afford to trade 2 bigs and only have AB. Good trade but not enough would have come to the lakers.

Genius.......the only deals that couldn't be signed until Friday was free agent contracts. This was a proposed trade.....something Bulls fans know nothing of.

Well, I guess I'd now appreciate it if Gasol can put his hurt feelings aside and be a pro. Going to be a weird season.
