Oh I am aware he has been trying to do the ankle flexibility this offseason, there was an interview in the short span that Rubio got to shoot around with the guys right before the lockout where Beasley said he was going to be working on that. That is great and all, but we need to see more out of him besides a catch-turn-shoot no matter what mentality.

I am excited to see if he has matured, and started taking his career serious. But his 3 year trend shows he hasn't taken anything serious. He has alllll year to prove me, and his critics wrong.

Another reason I would love Chuck Hayes here is because he would help our frontcourt understand better court awareness when playing NBA defense.

Yeah. Don't get me wrong. I see where you are coming from. I just am not ready to write him off. He showed he was starting to figure it out at the beginning of the year and then the injuries, etc... I know its a broken record, but still am optimistic about him. I guess we'll find out.

New to this site. But fan bases are the same, no matter what site. And that is not a criticism.

What makes anyone here believe Michael Beasley is a future #1-2 option?

He has not taken care of himself like a pro should. His words about how he did this summer are great! Now lets see the results.

Honestly, I will never understand how anyone can think Beasley has been anything but average to this point.

All I'm saying is that Beasley already has plenty of legitimate things to criticize him about. There's no need to criticize him about not doing things that he actually is doing (especially when you apparently already know that he is doing those things).

It's the medical staff's failure to let him keep playing on an ankle that isn't 100%. I see it as a positive for Beasley's character that he wants to try and help the team even if he isn't fully healthy.

Watch the 2nd to last game vs the Suns and honestly tell me Beasley does not have the potential to be a #1-2 scorer on a team.

They guy is capable of being almost as cold blooded as anyone in the league, let's just let him have a healthy season, with a competent coach and system.

As said above, before Beasley injured his ankle (which bothered him the rest of the year) he was averaging something like 21ppg and 8 rebounds I believe.

I didn't read the link but i think it's pretty weird if your going to criticize Beasley for not taking care of his body. Losing twenty lbs helps one. Taking care of your ankle? Beasley was doing ballet and yoga this summer wasn't he? I would imagine ballet would be extremely helpful to the stability in his ankle. As for playing hurt, that is something to be happy about, imagine if he were like Tmac. We would never even see him on the court.

And I fear that is all he has. I also don't think it will be realized.

My point was, he hasn't in the past. That's great he did it this summer, but its not right to judge the results of something that hasn't happened yet, ie, he hasn't played this year.

I'm just glad he cut his stupid hair lol.
