Truly sad. He was one of the best players in the league when he was healthy. It sucks to see someone this young have to retire because of injuries, especially a good guy like B Roy.

Another tough break for the blazers and for the game. Hate to see the league lose a quality guy like him. I've heard some talk about amnesty but if he's legit disabled this should be covered by insurance...?

That should be the case. Which is why, they're specifically referring to it as medical retirement.
