More good news, quality depth should be important with all the crazy back to back games.

Re: James Jones resigning with the Heat
this makes very little sense, we already have 4 quality rotation guys for the 2 and 3 position : LBJ, Wade, Battier and Miller.
and now with James jones it's 5 guys.
could this mean Riley is going to ship Miller for someone else...(Center?)

Re: James Jones resigning with the Heat
But isn't Shane Battier going to play SF to backup LBJ? I think JJ is going to ride the bench again until an injury happens...
JJ doesn't really ball handle so I am not sure how he fits in Mike Miller's place, though Mike Miller only got to pass the ball a few times this season.
edit: that's what I'm thinking, something is going to happen to Miller.
And Heat are signing Curry so, I don't know about getting a Center. Unless a miracle happens.

Hopefully amnesty.
3 year guaranteed deal probably for the wink wink deal of restructuring his contract

Love it. JJ was a monster from 3 last season. Love the depth. Agree though, could mean a trade for a center, but I doubt it.

Also JJ's agent said he took less than what he could've earned somewhere else... either we guaranteed him some playing time like RexBoy mentions, or at the very least we have another worthy trade chip considering he's worth more than what we offered. Either way I like JJ and he looked in crazy good shape in the pictures and videos of him shooting around.

I love JJ and all but why waste a roster spot on another wing? Not sure I understand this.

Battier...Miller....Jones?
Miller is probably heading out or Jones is just insurance.

Re: James Jones resigning with the Heat
always need your 3 pt specialists
Riley laying low
James Jones' deal to run less than $2 million per, closer to the veteran's minimum.

I figure Jones is insurance... some of out wings are gonna miss games this season. we already know we probably aren't going to let Miller rush back in time for the start of the season, so there's already playing time available in that regard. I love JJ though so im happy.

Juwan Howard has that old school attitude in the locker room.
LOL remember him fighting with everyone?
Hm... this is a good signing for entertainment purposes.

Chalmers/Cole/House
Wade/Miller/
James/Jones/Battier
Bosh/Haslem/Howard
Anthony/Curry/Pittman
So that leaves... 1 more spot left on the roster?

I think JJ/Battier/MM is a bit much but it also gives our GM alot of options.....

Battier's a career 39% three-point shooter.
