CP3 & D12 Aside ... REALIZE how STACKED our ROSTER can be!!!

Lost in this INSANE David Stern power play with the CP3 trade is a simple fact that should have all Laker fans ... and yes, Kobe fans like me ... drooling!

I am still all for the CP3 trade if it leads to a D12 trade as it sets us up for the next decade rather than just the next 2-3 years ... but ... if the trade really never goes through, it may turn out to be a massive blessing in disguise.

With two extremely simple moves the Lakers could have the best lineup they have ever had and, in my mind, the greatest lineup in NBA history!

The Knicks are desparately searching for a team to take on Turiaf's contract ... Mitch could easily offer our sasha TPE and a 2nd round pick or two to land Turiaf NOW.

The Knicks are also going to amnesty Chauncey Billups and the Cavs are going to amnesty Baron Davis and I do not expect any team to put in a "bid" on either player as it is known Chauncey will be a cancer unless he gets to choose his next team and Baron isn't far behind. While I have no doubt both would sign with us if we made the offer I think we should nab the better leader and 3pt shooter in Billups and let Baron sign with the Knicks.

Make those two easy, simple and immediate moves and your 2011-12 Lakers will look as follows:

PG: Billups/Blake/Morris
SG: Kobe/Goudelock/Kapono
SF: MWP/Barnes/Walton
PF: Gasol/Odom/Ebanks
C: Bynum/Turiaf/Caracter

How many of you out there, had you seen this roster and known this would be our team for next year, the second after we got eliminated by the Mavs last year ... would have been happy, giddy even, looking forward to winning the title once again next year.

If we get CP3 and D12, great ... we have a great shot at winning the West and a solid shot at winning the title this year and should have a good shot at a title for the next 6-10 years ... if we don't and end up with the above lineup, providing we don't have any major injuries we should be ASSURED the NBA title THIS YEAR!!!!!!!
