So if Nets can't land Dwight, what happens to DWill in the off-season? Does he consider jumping ship to Orlando? That would be sweet vengeance, indeed.

the team who really won:
the miami heat
The started this BS and have forever corrupted the NBA
the did all their BS first and people caught on after, but it was too late.
LeBron "chosen one" james probably IS the chosen one, the one who destroyed the league
now miami has CB LBJ and Flash, everyone wants to be like them, and will do everything it takes to be like them. it will never stop now.

DJRajX wrote:Okay to bring everyone (those folks who were not here yesterday evening and late last night) up to speed. Here's what's really going on. Short recap.
Afternoon: Ridiculous trade rumor involving LA, Houston, NOH
Evening: Trade with LA/HOU/NOH is confirmed, pieces and salaries confirmed. Lop-sided/gift-wrapped deal to the Lakers. Stern is the Hornets owner essentially. Hmm.
Later Evening: Owners (AND FANS) realized the deal LA was getting still allowed them to trade for Dwight or sign him in the summer. Hmm. (Plans unveiled)
Night: Owners stop the trade (Yes, the owners, ask Marc Stein; Stern didn't stop it on his own volition. Dirty old man wanted CP3 in LA, and wanted to help formulate their plans to acquire Dwight later). Ethically irresponsible on the part of Stern making that move for NOH and LA.
Late Night: CP3 files lawsuit with Stern (lol bite the hand that feeds). Dwight watches this unfold. Realizes his Plan A for escape to LA (IF Orlando doesn't win a championship or he doesn't get star help, such as Ellis this season). Almost perfectly timed, Howard's people come out and confirm he wants to be traded to the Nets. (Remember this is midnight!)
Looks like Howard wasn't too happy about CP3 not going to LA. Plan went kaput, so he went to Plan B.
Today: Orlando recognizes the BS from all parties involved, Stern, LA, Houston, NOH, NJ, and Dwight. Howard reportedly had an illegal meeting with Nets' owner in Miami.
Uh Oh, hand caught in the cookie jar fellas. LOL
Geez.....you couldn't make this stuff up......
I'm trying to decide if it is better for this to be true or not.
If it is true, and we prove it, then that ends any and all talks of Dwight going to NJ (maybe). But it also proves that Dwight was already plotting his way out.
If it's not, then there's still hope.

I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

Nah, Nene played C. He might play PF in NJ, though.
How much do you guys think he would get? Enough to eat a solid piece of their cap?

This is just insane. I for one am not going to jump to any conclusions until this stuff gets sorted out.

Literally had 10-15 people on here last night confirming this crap. Seriously.... you could not write a better script! this is GOLD! ... I'm sitting here laughing.
It's like if you're in a store, and you see someone steal a video game, and then that person tries to walk out of the store and he bumps into a cop, and the game falls out of his jacket. Then they go to surveillance and put the timeline of the event together. Proof is there. Amazing. PR Nightmare and big mistakes on all parties involved.
CP3 might be in trouble as well, but the reason he won't be is because he will implicate Stern as well

Re: WT: Magic May File Tampering Charges
What are the Ramifications if we go through with the charges and win? what were the results of past tampering allegations?

Dwight's going to lose MAJOR good guy points when this is all over. He's going to have to spin this "I was trying to negotiate the best deal I could for orlando" or something.

Well the Timberwolves were punished 5 first round draft picks for the Joe Smith tampering charge. But I doubt this one would be as severe.

Re: WT: Magic May File Tampering Charges
Naw GP that won't work...If this is proven true then the damage may be already done...Especially with the Orlando Front Office...For Dwight to even do this behind Orlando's back all Hush Hush....Dwight's PR Good Guy Christian image might be on a downward spiral

Just spoke with Dwight Howard Sr. He politely declined comment on any rumors.

Lol on second thought... maybe it was an ingenious plan by dwight to get the magic a couple draft picks to use in a magic trade for ellis. LOL does anyone know if we get awarded the draft picks , or do they only take them away from the tampering teams?

i think so, hes def. getting better and better especially offensively.
teams started to take notice last year and he should be in for a pretty good contract.

Re: WT: Magic May File Tampering Charges
Tampering penalties "range from 'suspension of the offending person, prohibition of the offending team from hiring the person being tampered with, forfeiture of draft picks and individual and/or team fines of up to $5 million,'" according to an ESPN report regarding a memo the NBA issued to teams in 2010 when the New Orleans Hornets accused several teams of tampering with Chris Paul.

Re: WT: Magic May File Tampering Charges
Long time Magic fan 1st time poster. IMO someone real close to this had to leak it. I know this sounds dumb but what if D12 is being true and he never wanted to leave but he wanted to play with D-Wil bad enough to cause this little problem for NJ. From what i understand if found true the Nets cat sign him when he is a FA and now with this going down I dont see D-Wil staying maybe we clear space and sign D-Wil next summer.. I know its out there but look how the last 2 days have been
