Or, they are signing Nene as trade bait for Howard.

nene will go to houston if the cp3 trade is allowed to go through (again)

JoshuaBRobbins Josh Robbins
Magic formally sign Justin Harper & DeAndre Liggins. Also sign Gabe Pruitt & Larry Hughes. All unguaranteed deals, I think.

looks like ESPN, CP3, and media pressure is going to force David Stern to reverse his decision on the CP3/LA trade :(

Magic sign Harper, Liggins, Gabe Pruit, & Larry Hughes to non-guaranteed deals.

I don't think he is reversing anything. Just because the owners denied the first trade, doesn't mean that the 3 teams can't come up with a better trade. IMO Bynum will need to be thrown into the pot for it to work, as in Bynum will need to go to the Hornets.

I'd feel better about the trade if the Lakers actually gave up more than just Gasol and Odom... throw in Bynum and picks, and then I'll be cool with it (it takes away LA's chances to trade for Howard later)

As long as they are non-guaranteed, it is all good. Notice how Otis hasn't used the MLE yet. He is probably working on getting a big fish right now and if that falls through, look for him to have a fire sale for expirings/draft picks to get well under the cap to go after Paul or Williams in the offseason.

I'm still crossing my fingers for someone like Ellis and Iggy to join

If that is true, that is very interesting. Could he be on the block?

That's why Dan Gilbert's assessment of that trade was pure gold, how you trade for Paul, and still get below the cap, in retrospect it was a bad deal, Lakers totally win that deal by a long shot, still cap room to sign another star. its pure BS. they better not reverse it.

After each line, there should be an echoing "Or Ellis"
