The Magic will go on and I will still be a fan. I can only hope that the next group of players in college/HS will see what this group of spoiled super friends has done to the league. Maybe they would take the challenge of leading thier own teams. I love watching basketball and hope Lebron and his little clan of followers dont screw it up beyond repair.
I'll give this a whirl.
RDV will sell the team. The new owners will clear house in the front office. The new owners will also likely not be willing to spend near the money RDV did to keep the Magic a contender. We will be run like a moneyball team and even if we do luck into another star player, he will force his way out the first chance he gets.
I keeps it real.

Here is an updated story. It says the Magic did not give permission. I imagine Bucher got his info from Fegan or a Fegan friendly source.

Magic folks might want to get on the same page here. @RicBucher reporting that Orlando GM Otis Smith said he did give permission.
Some people are embarrassing themselves. I hope its the media and our front office is not this incompetent to know whether permission was granted or not
It better be the media.

Maybe we FINALLY fire Otis. AND maybe it can happen tomorrow after this fiasco. Hire Tom Penn NOW before we trade Dwight.

Seems like it would. Just somebody PLEASE step up and fire his ass. Why is it taking so long?

Howard is not locked into playing for the Nets. They are one of three teams he's interested in. No deal imminent, or close really

Re: Official Speculation & Free Agency Thread (Part III)
This is crazy. Would the media (Bucher) lie to cover the tampering? Would Otis lie? How could Martins not know what Otis did? Have they not been around each other today? THis tampering thing has been swirling all day. T
Woj is the new Bucher. Shams is the new Woj. Espn is the new TMZ. The NBA is the new WWE.
Boo.
Boo.

Re: Official Speculation & Free Agency Thread (Part III)
Are we going to find out that it was BVW that gave Dwight permission on that drunk dial? Oh I really hope not, that would be very, very bad.

Fegan lying? Martins lying? Otis lying and/or going full (Please Use More Appropriate Word)?

Re: Official Speculation & Free Agency Thread (Part III)
Orlando has done everything a team can do to keep Dwight.
- We drafted him 1st
- Put up with his early unproductive years
- Spent well above our means on players
- Built the new Arena
If he wants out there is nothing that can be done, I hope our next Star wants to be in Orlando.
