Humphries?

Post#1 » by spree8 » Sat Dec 10, 2011 3:58 am

Would he be an option with the MLE in the event Cp3 does come here? Dude is a hard worker who is young, athletic, and finish hard at the rim. Not to mention interior D. Him and Paul on the break would be entertaining to say the least.

He's turrrible, mayne. By that, I mean, he's not particularly good at anything (but rebounding).

Who else is out there? Only other person is Landry. Like I said before, Kris would be a nice with Paul here. He's very athletic, and can run the floor and finish at the rim. He's a good shotblocker too. 10ppg, 10.5rpg, and 1bpg in 28mpg....not that bad considering the circumstances fellas.

Jason Thompson from Cowtown might be a decent fit.

Carl Landry is waaay better than Kris.
Landry is way more athletic and actual plays the game more with skill an precision compared to brute , bo-guarding force.

Plus we already got Metta for all that WWE stuff.

McRoberts isn't a starter but he would be nice off the Lakers bench if the Paul trade happens.

Humphries is the kind of player we need. This guy is a total beast of a rebounder.. although I probably couldve averaged 10 boards with brook lopez as the center. Full MLE isnt enough for him imo. Offensively his game is improving a lot too. I like him.

Wow, that definitely would be the ultimate slap in the face to the Kardashians ... trade Odom to Nawlins and then sign Humphries, wow ... in regards to basketball though he is a player and is indeed worth more than the MLE ... if Caron Butler can get $8mil a year Humphries should be able to get $9+, though I think he'll end up signing with the Nuggets for somewhere in the $6-8mil a year neighborhood as they need a PF badly.

The guy is an amazing rebounder and solid garbage points collector ... however his attitude seems to suck and I don't know if he would be a chemistry fit ...

A lot of mixed reviews, but the dude can ball. Not sure if most who are knocking him have actually seen him play. With Chris Paul, and in L.A. he would be pretty damn good. Dude can ball....he played under Jerry Sloan, Sam Mitchell, and Avery Johnson...he's not a bum.

As far as Landry, he is a good option, but he's really weak on the boards. He can score well, but with Bynum there, you need someone else to do the dirty work.

Josh McRoberts is also another option I thought about. Love his game...tough, and has hops...solid defense too. Can he be a starter for this team though? Better served as 2nd unit imo.

When it comes to $ though, I could see Kris looking for more than the MLE, but I figured with the chance to play with Kobe and possibly Paul, on the Lakers nonetheless...he would consider it. Make no mistake...Lakers need a starting 4 bigtime if the trade happens.
