Alright so what is the real score this offseason?

*on a side note, i'm kinda glad we had the lockout. Can you imagine what we'd be feeling if the offseason started on schedule? There would be this feeling x 100 "

We deserve to be the jokes of the league and its no one to blame but Otis and his superiors.

I'll give up on the Magic if Otis is allowed to run the show after Dwight leaves. What a joke of a GM and it's laughable that there are people still supporting this idiot.

I came expecting to see the official Otis Smith is fired thread.

In just one day he wasted 26 millions on big baby and 60 on Arenas. This guy needs to be fired now, he is going to make moves that will put this team in a worse financial situation . In my opinion the Devos family should make the decision on Howard`s case.

Any GM candidates?
Smart / Micic / D. Wright
Wiggins / Exum / J. Adams
Parker / K. Anderson / Mcdermott
Randle / Vonleh / Stokes
Embiid / Nurkic/ Tavares

I'll be happy with anyone else, really. But I wouldn't fired him until I know Dwight is gone, which is almost. Or maybe just let another GM trade Dwight. This idiot may take back Gasol and Metta World Peace for Dwight.

me i'm not reading too much into the media because this what we're doing now is exactly what they want.....me personally i'm not panicking just yet....Until i hear from the horse's mouth that Dwight's leaving i'll just leave rumors as rumors...It's just hard for me to believe anything nowadays because they're so many contradictions....I'm so jaded because of all these rumors i'm taking a break from RealGM for a few days because i'm going to kill myself worrying about the next rumor that could come out...

Neither JRich if we re-sign him, or Nelson, or Hedo are good supports for Howard in a league with a team as stacked as Miami is. At least with Arenas you had some hope that he'd bounce back (at least I did, FU OTIS). Even if we re-sign JRich we are looking at a SL of Nelson/JRich/Hedo/Baby/Howard, which while competitive isn't near as good as Miami or LA, or OKC. I'd put them with Dallas, Chicago, San Antonio, New York.

I mean, I could even get excited about that team, but if Dwight is traded and we get something like Bynum or Lopez, we drop to .500 at best and have wasted money on Baby. Ugh. At this point I'm just praying for Ellis or Iggy. At least one of those guys would give us a bona fide 2nd fiddle to Dwight's main show. I'd prefer Ellis. I think. Ah, barf.

Hmmm yeah. Well, I already steeled myself for this scenario. I hope it isn't true though.

I am however going out of my mind with all these conflicting tweets by supposed insiders/columnist/etc

I honestly think its best that if we slowly face the fact that Dwight is as good as gone. Hopefully its not. But with the way things are going, it seems to be leaning that way. Lets just prepare ourself and face it. If he doesnt leave, great. But if he does, then at least we're ready.

If he doesn't leave he will be loved as intensely as our distress has burned over these past few days. He will become A GOD. What more could a good christian want than to become like his creator?

I'm over it, it is well with my soul. Hopefully Otis is fired, he's earned it. But he needs to do one good thing before he leaves, and that's get us something to work with. The more I think about it, the more it has to be NJ. They eat Turkoglu's contract, we get a good young center who's not caught up in hollywood antics (even though he lived there) and draft picks.

Bring on heart and hustle, baby. I'm on board for the rebuild.

And on the bright side, Amway center tickets should be somewhat affordable now.

What shocks me the most isn't the fact that Dwight wants to leave, but the fact that after all the bad things he's done in the last 3 years up untill yesterday night, Otis still has his job.

I'm 100% sure another GM could've done a better job at TRYING to keep Dwight. And I'm pretty sure that if he gets back a decent package for Dwight, he won't be fired. Mark my words. He&the organisation will say "Otis got back the most he could"

And on top of the shocking, what frightens me the most is the fact that if we're getting high draft picks, I'm sure Otis will find a way to even screw that up.

I'll always remember Otis as the guy that lost Orlando Dwight Howard. He's had 2 or 3 years to make this a team Dwight would wanna re-sign with. 3 frickin years. Pat Riley did pretty good in those years, huh?

If Otis isn't fired before or after Dwight leaves, I don't think I'm gonna watch a lot of NBA. I'm a fan of the Orlando Magic but I'm not a masochist, this city&franchise deserve better. So a well-deserved F U to Otis Smith

Though it's not even noon here, I'm gonna have myself a beer :)
