I thought it was common knowledge that the Boston scorekeepers cooked Russell's stats a bit.

It doesn't change my perception of him much, since stat-cooking occurred to the benefit of other players and Russell's impact extended beyond the stat sheet, anyway.

Just want to say: fantastic read. The fact that these things happened is not surprising in the least, but the extent to which they happened really puts things in perspective.
