If NJ losses out on Dwight.. (NJ/UT)

Post#1 » by Ming Kong! » Sat Dec 10, 2011 3:36 pm

Devin Harris
Al Jefferson
GS First round pick (protected top 7 in 2012, top 6 in 2013 and 2014)

for

Deron Williams (w/ extension)
Travis Outlaw

Jazz get their guy back with his extension, and at the same time get rid of some of the clutter amongst bigs, freeing minutes for Favors and Kanter. The Nets make sure they don't lose Williams for nothing, get two borderline All-Star players + a GS first round pick. Oh at the same time they get rid of Outlaws' ugly contract.

Short answer: No.
Long answer: Hell no!

If NJ loses out on Dwight, we go with the rest of our gameplan, not decide to be idiots and get back the worst member of the deal we gave you for the best player in the deal.

Outlaw will be amnestied.

Jefferson is just a waste of cap space for us. This is a hot garbage trade.

We gave you guys a top unprotected pick, plus Favors, plus Harris for an UNEXTENDED D-Will. And we're supposed to take a protected 1st round GSW pick with Harris (back) and Jefferson for D-Will with an extension and Outlaw, who can be amnestied?

Oh no no no...

I love that so many Jazz fans still seriously hold out hope of Deron ever playing another game in a Jazz uni.

Well, it looks like it could become true for Utah fans. It's all over the media as of right now; the Nets could end up losing Deron Williams due to a tampering charge, along with many future 1st round draft picks from here on out. Hopefully it doesn't happen, because no franchise deserves for this to happen to them, but you can't get mad at Utah fans dreaming of Williams back in Utah.

Well if we get penalized by this whole Dwight tampering BS we're gonna need some first round picks somehow.....

Hmm, that's not what you said in this thread you recently started: viewtopic.php?f=24&t=1142360

Truly is amazing how much the media hates the Nets just because we aren't the sexy team like the Lakers or the Knicks.
