I know its too early to bet on, but the Teams would still match-up pretty evenly:

C = Lakers
PF = Heat
SF = Heat
SG = Tie
PG = Lakers

Wade is better than Kobe at this point. But I agree our potential Big 3 is bigger than their Big 3.

You can't just put two 25+ pt. scorers together at wing positions and expect seamless ball to be played.

^ I think it's a given that landing CP3 and D12 will make us a worse team for this one year, but this is a "decade trade" and therefore makes all the sense in the world ... I also feel that while we will be a worse team the first year we will still be good enough to compete for the title and have a solid chance at winning it.

As for a PF ... if we land CP3 and Dwight ... prepare for Kenyon Martin to join us once the Chinese season ends!

I wouldn't say that just yet. Depends on what the Paul deal looks like and other FAs we sign.

Paul
Kobe
Barnes
West
Howard

This could be our potential starting lineup.

Makes no sense to be signing West this season, he's still 2 months away from on court return if I'm not wrong.

:o :evil: How dare you?! What exactly is he better than Kobe at? Athleticsm? ..slightly. Put Kobe on that Heat team in place of Wade's disappearing, choking arse and they win the title.

True. But it would be a S&T with NO.

I'm just speculating because the Boston deal fell through and there was talk Lakers also looking to acquire a PF in this trade. That either leaves West or Okafor.

4 years for $70 million? He should be jumping on that.

i'd assume its cause he wants to go to houston. all speculation was that by making the gasol trade, HOU was clearing up enough space to offer Nene a competitive offer. Houston has to know something about Nene's preference i think, and thus nene has to wait for this cp3 thing to get done.
