What is the trade value of Lopez to us? He's on an expiring 3 million dollar contract. Would we obtain his bird rights or something to make it trade able to another team? How much is Lopez going to get in the offseason, max contract? I shudder to think of that.

remember last night after practice, d12 had a nice 45sec chat with alex, arms around him... i think dwight likes alex, and alex wants him to stay.. not so sure about otis lol.. i mean look at all of otis' moves.. i feel like he's purposely trying to drive howard away from us

I supported his bold moves to please Dwight and to give Magic a chance to compete and I liked his bold moves even though they were questinable. Unfortunetely, it did not workout for him, Dwight, organization and us fans. The responsibility goes to Otis.

Wether we trade Dwight or let him walk it will mean rebuilding for us. Picks that we would get will be bad, players that we will get most likely will be rentals. Can't see major value getting back for trading him. So probably letting him walk would be ok with me. Let the teams that want him destroy their rosters in order to clear cap and go after him. They will be rebuilding in July too instead of getting a best Christmas present ever. Let Dwight sign lesser contract where he chooses to go. We can rebuild through draft and free agency and construct our version of Oklahoma Thunder a young, athletic group of guys that play with passion.

I'm not mad at Dwight, not mad at Otis but the situation is being mishandled by both at this time. A while ago both of them forgot that championships are won with heart, passion and determination. Also, it takes patience. Quick fixes are just bandaids and those don't last.

So here is cheers to the future.
