They can offer him 4.5% annual raises over 4 years, and assuming it does start at $15m,

$15m, $15.7, $16.4, $17.1 = $64.2m over 4 years (and he'd be getting paid less than Nene).

We can offer him $110m over 5 years. It's quite a difference.

We can offer 110 mil over 5 years, 7.5% increases every year. So that's appx:

Yr 1- 19,000,000
Yr 2- 20,300,000
Yr 3- 21,850,000
Yr 4- 23,500,000
Yr 5- 25,350,000

Tax free.

Looks like former @FSU_MBasketball player Von Wafer has been traded to the Magic by the Celtics as part of Brandon Bass-Glen Davis deal.

So Wafer was part of the BBD/Bass trade ?

Yes...I feel like quite a few posters aren't aware of that b/c Vafer's signing came like 5 hours after the BBD trade.

I thought it was separate.

But if we trade him, he can make the same 110 mil with whatever team he goes to. That is our leverage.

Also given the way Otis runs this team, it would also be championship free.

I dont think he'll even sign with them if they had just D will and Nene

Now if the Magic traded for Iggy or Ellis and signed Crawford theres no way he would leave if he really cares about winnin

Jameer/Crawford
Iggy
Hedo
Big Baby
Dwight

Or
Jameer/Crawford
Ellis
Hedo
Big Baby
Dwight

Wafer and Davis were two seperate deals. We acquired Wafer with the Lewis TPE, which can't be combined with anything.

There were different reports on the terms. I think Kyler said we used a 1.8 mil tpe from WAS in the gil trade, and another source said it was another tpe. Not really sure, but they said it was 3 yrs, last 2 were not guaranteed.
Woj is the new Bucher. Shams is the new Woj. Espn is the new TMZ. The NBA is the new WWE.
Boo.

that's why you don't trade him, let dwight force his hand...lopez, bynum, marion or whatever isn't enough for me to trade dwight, we take the chance of losing him but he doesn't get his wish, and we can still sign lopez, bynum or whatever if dwight wants to take a huge paycut

Don't know if this would convince D12 to stay but, here's my thinking.

Pick up Billups, Re-sign J Rich, trade Nelson and Ryno for Iggy.

Billups/Du Du
J Rich/Redick/Liggins
Iggy/Hedo
BBD/Harper
Dwight/Clark/Orton

Yea/Nay ?

I sent a message to Robbins and told him the small TPE we had was used for Wafer. He has since corrected the article.

I think we have learned that the league is still the same as before the lockout. The rich get richer, the others get effed, and Stern laughs all the way to the bank.

Nene is going to make 70 million over 4 years, yet Boston gets David West for a third of that. The Lakers turn Kwame into Gasol, Gasol into Paul, and I'm sure soon Paul into Michael Jordan Jr. The league owned team manages to trade both their all stars to their 2 biggest franchises.

And people wonder why I hate the NBA?
