2011 Training Camp Thread

Post#1 » by Cruel_Ruin » Sat Dec 10, 2011 11:45 pm

Jason Jones is tweeting from the Kings first day at training camp. Some interesting observations he's made:

https://twitter.com/#!/mr_jasonjones

JJ Hickson's athleticism really jumps out on this team

I really hope Hickson takes after Hayes defensively. Otherwise, I feel like Hickson is just as bad as a fit as Landry was. Really hope I'm proven wrong because Hickson may be the best athlete on the team.

Black team: reke, marcus, dmc, hayes and salmons vs white: jimmer, cisco, hickson, greene, thompson

Thats probably our starting lineup and our bench on Day 1. If AK is signed he could fit in in a number of different places (at SF or PF).

All the tweets on Hayes is that he sets great screen, immovable, and getting good reviews by the coaches.

Jimmer is having trouble with the "jump pass" but his offense is impressive.

Sacramento Kings
Inside Look: @boogiecousins says he's going to try to get @jimmerfredette to move in with him. Thoughts #KingsFans?

I think that is awesome!

Sorta reminds me of Rob and Big, but DMC and Jimmer are opposites.

Listening to Chuck Hayes interview and watching this clip makes me a believer! He can guard who ever he wants to.

I give it a half hour before that Cousins clip is picked up as a serious story about him being out of shape.

Cousins

Thornton and Hayes were saying the right things at least. They seem to want to be here.

I'm getting good vibes folks. I have a feeling it's going to be somewhat like what happened right after the last lockout. Perhaps not playoffs, but I think we'll be in the hunt.

I wish I could believe the whole defensive mentality thing, because that is the most important part to defense. Unforunately, it's hard to take it seriously as anything but preseason conjecture.
