Re: Official Speculation & Free Agency Thread (Part IV)
One of the biggest problems is that Dwight never was a leader and never will be he is too immature. He needs to be the second fiddle to someone, thats why we needed another star player.
Otis couldn't deliver now he wants to be traded to the nets (D-Will the leader or LA Kobe/Paul leader).

Meer
Rich
Deng
Boozer
Noah
That's the same as Bynum. Getting stuck to bad contracts/signing deals. Deng and Boozer are long term contracts at like 11-15 mil plus. Neither are dynamic as a solo force except maybe Boozer at times.

Bensational wrote:i posted this deal on the trade board, but screw it, i'm throwing it out here too:
ORL
in: Al Jefferson + Ibaka + World Peace + Harden + Odom
out: Dwight + Turk + Anderson + JJ
LAL
in: Dwight + Turk
out: Bynum + Odom + WP + DMorris
OKC
in: Bynum + Anderson + Liggins
out: Perkins + Ibaka + Harden
UTA
in: Perkins + JJ
out: Jefferson
Jefferson
Ibaka/Odom
MWP/Harper/Q
Harden/JRich
Nelson/DMorris/Duhon
IMO, that team can step right back into contending in our current system. Jefferson could fill Dwight's role on offense, Harden is the team's second scorer, Ibaka/MWP/Harden are the glue defensively.
plus, we set OKC up to be a stronger challenge to the Lakers.
No way if we have to give up Anderson.

The draft class is very strong and having one or multiple picks could do a lot for our future. I mean getting one of Harrison Barnes, Perry Jones, Anthony Davis, Andre Drummon, or Jeremy Lamb would be great. If we could stack up on picks in this and next years draft we could make a young team that could grow into something.
They'll just request trades/leave when their contract is up. No point.

Yeah I'm mad at Otis more so than Dwight
I'm over Dwight... it's his life and decision.... can't hate on the dude... he doesn't owe us anything... and it was a hard decision for him, and at least he didn't talk crap about the city.. just management (specially Otis)
The day Otis is fired I'll throw a parade

Hall of famers who never won championships but stuck it out with their teams and tried? I respect that sort of dedication more than some player who successfully ring-chased, like, say, Kevin Garnett. Or Dwight, should he win one anywhere else he plays. It's fairly gutless.
I miss the loyalty and dedication.
Oh well. I guess that's quaint at this point.
I think what's changed is that being an NBA player is more than being a star athlete, it's about celebrity. As far as I can remember, Miller/Malone/Ewing/Bird etc didn't have a burning desire to rap and star in movies. It's more than the game now...

I lean that way too. Otis does not look like a guy who is trying to appease Dwight. I think he has too much pride to do so.

i hope some drunken, disenchanted fan punches Otis in the face at some point if Dwight leaves.
if Otis had built a winner, we wouldn't have a problem.

If he's not happy with Otis, management will fire his ass before he can muttered "I like this team."
I want Otis fired but I doubt he treated Dwight horribly.
Fire Otis!

Howard is a fake christian like most people who use god as a comp out are. "It is in gods hands". Every time I heard some one say that I want to punch them in the face.

Watching the interview is very diferent than the quotes. This is on management. If we as fans don't revolt and demand Otis to be fired we deserve what we get.

Please explain how Dwight was mistreated? I have zero sympathy for a guy who has been toying with us throughout this entire process. Otis doesn't play games. We may not like the moves he makes, but Otis is not a bullshitter.
