Post#1 » by Superiorblogman » Fri Dec 9, 2011 6:01 am

Okay, here is how we can help that happen.

Hawks offer Josh Smith,Zaza, and Kirk.

Magic offer Dwight and Hedo

Nets Offer Brook Lopez

Hawks get: Brook Lopez and Hedo

Nets get: Dwight

Orlando gets: Josh Smith, Kirk Hinrich and picks from Jersey.

Everyone happy.

Teague
Joe
Marvin
Al
Lopez

1. I would imagine that Orlando would want Lopez instead of Smith.

2. I thought people would've learned after the summer of 2010...but people have got to stop running with these rumors as if they are written in stone. Type in "World Wide Wes Lebron Bulls" on google and see what comes in. Then type in "Lebron Greenwich announcement Knicks". The majority of "sources' are from rival agents who constantly hand out conflicting information.

So, I guess you think you are a credible source?

I guess your opinion on who Orlando would want is also credible?

Lot of guessing coming from someone trying to set the record straight

When did I say I was credible? I said "I would imagine" which lets you know from the jump that it's my opinion. That's alot difference than saying "so Dwight wants to be a Net".

That was reported tonite on ESPN by paid analyst. I think that is quite credible. The report was he has asked to be traded to the Nets.

I like the trade but we need to let hedo go to new jersey. I think the Orlando would take josh smith before brook lopez. Remember this center avarage like 5 to 6 rebounds a game. He regressed on defense last year. If we throw in another pick that will do the trick. Orlando plan is to tank it this year and get a top 3 pick, and another lottery pick from the trade with new jersey (golden state pic). It will give them 4 picks this draft. They say this year draft just might be better than the lebron draft. Orlando is trying to cash in and begin rebuilding. And orlando will probally add chris duhon for jordan farmar.

Ah, now THIS is a great trade. Orlando trades Dwight for essentially two bottom of the draft picks seeing as Josh and Hinrich are absolutely not likely to stay past the next 2 years.

Zero reason for these two teams to include Atlanta in the deal yet alone give them the second best trade asset.

Well actually, they (New Jersey) can't take Hedo back unless they include other players not named Lopez. So, they will need a 3rd team to be able to let Orlando offload Hedo or Gilbert.

Or they could amnesty Outlaw and absorb both.

Are u sure that by simply using the amnesty of Dwight they would be able to absorb Hedo? His contract is a lot richer than Outlaw's.

..............I'm not you so I won't belittle you while I point this out.

The Nets have 18 million in capspace.

Dwight makes 18 million this season.

Brook Lopez makes 3 million.

Travis Outlaw makes 7 million.

Hedo Turkoglu makes 11 million.

I'll allow your super intelligence to figure out the rest. Dangit, I tried.

Watch out for the Lakers now. If they offer Bynum and Gasol they could take back Howard, Turkoglu and the contract of Chris Duhon from the Magic.

Magic Roster
Nelson
J Richardson/Redick
Q Richardson/Anderson
Gasol/Davis
Bynum/Orton

Still could use a backup PG and a real SF. Anderson would be a valuable trade chip and they'd have the MLE. I guess which offer you prefer is whether you want to burn the whole thing down and start over (New Jersey) or bank on the health of Bynum to keep trying now with a good front line (Lakers).

Also don't rule out the Houston 3-way possibility to wind up with:
Nelson/Dragic
Martin/Redick
Richardson/Richardson
Scola/Davis/Anderson
Bynum/Orton

LA could toss in that Dallas 1st rounder for Anderson to help their frontline and you have the New York first rounder from Houston as well. Not a bad haul and you only have to see Dwight visit 1 time a year. Also the 3 late first rounders might be enough to move up in the mid lottery for an impact rookie (SF or PG) or could just add a lot of depth talent (next year is projected to be a deep draft).

I don't see the Lakers trading both Gasol and Bymum simultaneously unless Scola is coming back. Not if that Odom trade is finalized anyway.

I disagree. I think Anderson is enough to do it. We aren't talking Bynum who you worry will miss 20 games, we are talking Dwight Howard who lowest number of games played in a season at any point in his career is 78. Anderson is a stretch 4 who can fill a spot. And they still have the 8.9M TPE from Odom to acquire another piece. They've also not used their MLE yet. Finally Artest can play an undersized 4 next to Howard as well if not amnesty fodder. Don't underestimate the lure of getting a once a decade player and then filling in the pieces later.

Not to mention if they land Howard, I have an idea of what amnesty player allows them to upgrade the PG at vet minimum, Baron Davis.

Baron Davis/Derrick Fisher/Steve Blake
Kobe Bryant
Hedo Turkoglu/Matt Barnes/Devin Ebanks
Ron Artest/Ryan Anderson/8.9 TPE power forward
Dwight Howard/Derrick Caracter

Sign a backup for copy and trade for another big and you're there.
