I would. You are talking about the starting point and center for the East at the All-Star game

I'd rather have Dwight alone than both CP3+Bynum AKA 3 Bad Knees..

Please Otis... Convince Dwight somehow! Bring him his help he needs!

I hope hes steering him to us... by doing so he can keep magic as a quality team and the east looking competetive in a very tough league. BVW was very loyal to him, and we built new arena... we should get some help!

CP3+Gasol on the other hand... and Odom?

CP3
Richardson
Odom
Baby
Gasol

would be pretty dope.

I'm confused... did the NBA reject the CP3 trade again or did LA cancel so they could just go after Dwight? http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/21 ... n_Saturday

This Odom deal reminds me of when L.A. dumped Anthony Peeler and George Lynch to The Grizzlies for 2 2nds back in 96.

The thing is LA is not close to having capspace this time around. They have no leverage to force a deal as Dwight would have to sign for MLE which he won't do.

The proposed new trade was almost identical to the old one. IMO the league wouldn't approve it, so the Lakers said the hell with it. Now they are going after Howard. Gasol to a 3rd team. We get their assets, 1st round picks. We get Bynum, couple 1st round pick from the Lakers. This is probably what will go down IF Howard goes to the Lakers. We won't take just Gasol/Bynum/couple worthless 1st rounders from the Lakers.

A little OT now, but I don't see the JRich connection... why would he agree to a "reasonable" contract with a team thats about to eat crap because dwight is leaving... they share the same agent. Feagan must have sold jrich on playing with either lopez or bynum... but still you'd think he would want to try for a contender.

Regardless of what LA is spinning, the NBA blocked this trade again.

Ottis just better remember to call about CP3 before he even thinks about trading Dwight it just seems to me that this may fall right in our Laps for us Id rather make the trade for Chris and have Dwight and him for one year then trade him any palce!!!!!

Is CP3 still going to go through with his lawsuit even if LA dropped out?

If the JRich signing doesn't happen officially until Monday, could a S & T still be possible?

David Stern couldn't be screwing the Hornets any worse if he gave the GM job to Isiah Thomas. #NBA #Lakers #Hornets

Seems like Stern wants to dictate more where CP3 goes and less what the Hornets get in return. I don't think Stern is making these decisions because he wants better players than Scola and Martin. Where is Stern's ideal landing spot for CP3? What betters the NBA product if it's not the Lakers?

taking Scola + Kmart + Odom would be screwing the Hornets, not keeping Paul and looking for a better deal.

i'd say Stern is interested in getting picks, youth and cap space. if he cared where CP3 goes then he'd most likely send him somewhere out West that has potential to be a much bigger market. LAC/Houston/GSW pop to mind first. potential for them to be much bigger than they currently are.

Yeah, which is why I think the Lakers said forget. The NBA was probably saying "Throw in Bynum and we have a deal". The Lakers were like our entire front court for a PG with past knee issues? FU!

Now they are going after Howard with the same type of package they were going after CP3 with, except this time they will need to find a team who wants Gasol and is willing to give up 1st round picks, and couple of young players to get him. We would also get Bynum and the 2 1st rounders from the Lakers. A total of 7 players for Howard/Hedo.

I would take that deal, if we had no other options, meaning we exhausted trade proposals for Paul, Ellis, Iggy, etc. anything to get Howard to stay.

If Paul is heading to a destination that he doesn't want to re-sign with, then he becomes a viable option again.

Magic clearing cap space could still be a legit option, if only we hadn't just re-signed JRich and s&t'd for BBD...

Reporter: "Is there anything the Magic can do to change your mind about leaving?..."

Dwight: "....n...no..."

Damn man, that really hurts... it'll sink in when he's finally gone..

You gave us your all big fella.. :(

I thought they would have gotten it right this time around. Basically league was not satisfied with the return talent. Not sure why Clee was not added. I want no trade with the Lakers..
