Knicks emerge as front runners for Jamal Crawford?

If we can add him without losing Douglas and ideally Shumpert then we would be insane to pause even for a second.

I don't view TD as a starting PG, I don't think anyone will.

He will start if we have nothing else, and right now we don't.

Jared Jeffries started a few games for us too. Is he a starting center too?

Keith Bogans started as SG for the Bulls.

D'antoni, Melo, and Amar'e know Toney will not have that ball.

D'antoni made it clear melo will run the offense.

Maybe I just like TD more then most. I feel like hes an adequate starter. Those guys you mentioned are just backups or scrubs. Toney is a legit player. I remember last year he played very well when Billups was out. He was handling the ball and playing pick and roll well. I like him better than JJ Barea and the only guy Id start over TD is Baron if he is waived/amnesty'd.

And that's cool, I like Jared Jeffries as a player.

But my basketball sense tells me that Jared shouldn't play more than ten minutes a game, give me a few boards, two defensive stops, and sit his ass back down, kinda like my basketball sense tells me Toney Douglas hasn't shown me he is a pg at all.

I can't label that off of him just by seeing flashes.

Crawford's a better playmaker than TD. I support this. Even in the Marbury days, it looked like we would've been better served having Crawford at PG and Marbury at SG.

Just because douglas is shorter doesnt make him more of a pg. we dont need a traditional pg imo because the offense is going through melo and amare. We dont need someone to break down the d and create offense. we need someone who can knock down open shots and run the pnr now and then. td is not the answer. Crawful is much better at what he does.

If this deal falls apart and we land Barea and Crawford, this will be the greatest free agency in Knick history.

The only reason TD is considered a PG is because he's short. Nothing in his skillset suggests he's a PG.

You really think that Melo is going to be the playmaker every possession? No chance. Toney is going to have pick and rolls and other plays called for him also.
