Devoe Joseph played his 1st game and had 18 points. Nicholson has been a disappointment this year. The other two Canadians actually outscored him in the game yesterday.

this maybe isn't the thread, but i'm curious... with all the talent that is starting to come up, what do the people that follow this closely think the 'Next-Gen' Team Canada will be, and when do you think they will start being good?

You're calling Nicholson a disappointment after 5 games? He has 2 double-doubles and is averaging 15/8/2. Granted his scoring is down, but his rebounding is up. Scoring difference seems to be his lack of free throws, not a big deal in the early going.

I just think after the huge year he had last year, people were really looking for him to have a huge year, and involve himself in the discussion as a potential NBA draft pick.

Yep. The expectations were high for him this season, so in that sense he is a disappointment.

Robert Sacre is the only Canadian to be ranked in Hollinger's Top 100 PER list. He is ranked 30th overall.

His stats have never been the problem. His 8 inch vert however, that's another story.

Right now our wing position sucks and our bigs are decent but no real fat big guy or any experience. Our gaurd play is pretty dope tho. Kevin Pangos, Corey Joesph, Jr Cadougan, Myck Kabongo. Devoe joesph at the sg spotm he's lights out when his head is in the game. Hopefully Anthony Bennet puts on a lil more height and weight and becomes a pf instead of tweener 3/4. I like our bigs too actually, Tristan Thompson, Robert Sacre, Kelly Olynck, Kyle wiljter, hopefully one of the bhullar kids pans out. This program will be off and running after this olympics... I'm talking top 5 in the world

Don't forget guys like Kris Joseph, Nicholson, Birch and even Andy Rautins. There is enough talent here. The problem was, and still is, getting them to play.

Re: NCAA Basketball - Canadian Edition
wow I did forget about kris Joseph, his game is actually really nice. Hes gonna be my favourite player when he gets drafted. So lets make a team.
Corey Joesph/Kevin Pangos
Devoe Joesph/Andy Rautins
Kris Joesph/Andrew Wiggins
Tristan Thompson/Nicholson/Anthony Bennet
Robert Sacre/Kelly Olynck
and i'm still leaving off other notables...
what kinda sucks/cool depending on how you look at it, is that our 1,2,3 possibly, all are related.

Potential players to choose from for the future national team. I expect more than half of these guys to be in the Olympics in Rio. Ridonkulous talent, sick:
PG: Kabongo, Pangos, Cojo, Cadougan, Brady Heslip, Laroche
SG: Rautins, Devoe Joseph, Christian Kabongo, Tyler Murray, Harouna Mutombo, Justin Edwards
SF: Kris Joesph, Andrew Wiggins, Kyle Wiltjer, Olu Ashuolu, Laurent Rivard, Melvin Ejim
PF: TT, Nicholson, Khem Birch, Anthony Bennett, Dwight Powell
C: Sacre, Olynyk, Bhullar, Bhullar
