Game -13 Minnesota (2-10) at Detroit (7-5) 1;00 kickoff

Matchup Edge MIN or Edge in: DET

Points/Game DET
Yards Gained DET
Yards Allowed DET
Time of Possession DET
Red Zone DET
Kicking DET
Penalties MINN ........ This has been a very important catagory this season ,and you need to win this one ,and it can change the outcome in many games.just like turn overs.

Anyways, i hope Kevin Smith plays if not put Arron Brown in, my prediction lions 41- Minn -21 the glove is off. last game Vikings lost their first four games by a touchdown or less, including 26-23 to the Detroit Lions in overtime when they squandered a 20-point halftime lead

RB Adrian Peterson. The three-time All-Pro running back has had an excellent start, averaging 4.9 yards a carry with no fumbles(we have to keep him in check)

They have to not underestimate the Vikings any team can win in a game if calls and turnovers go there way.

Rookie defensive tackle Nick Fairley remains out with a sore foot, and with Ndamukong Suh still suspended, the Lions signed Jovan Haye for depth on their line. They released cornerback Brandon McDonald to make room for Haye, who worked out for the team earlier this week.

Christian Ponder is doubtful with a hip problem. That means Joe Webb backed up by Sage Rosenfels.

Peterson presents problems but he's not close to 100%. Bottle up Percy Harvin--easier said than done--and the Lions should at least double the Vikings score. Their corners make Detroit's look like the Jets.

Offense should put up points. Defense should be ok, especially if we see Joe Webb. Harvin will have a huge game methinks

And Jared Allen can go **** himself. I hope he gets pancaked every play

Here's hoping for a personal foul and chop block free game.

Sounds like Peterson is playing

Peterson is NOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT playing

Mitch Albom

Lions 30, Vikings 10

That's not a prediction, that's a must.

Michael Rosenberg

Lions 34, Vikings 10

Reason? The Vikings stink. Here is my more interesting prediction: The Lions will win three straight and be 10-5 heading into the season finale in Green Bay.

Drew Sharp

Lions 34, Vikings 14

http://www.freep.com/article/20111211/S ... kings-game

Chris McCosky: The Lions are hurting on defense, but can the Vikings exploit that with a banged-up Christian Ponder and Adrian Peterson ? Lions 31-25

Bob Wojnowski: The message for the Lionsis clear — a playoff run starts or ends here.QB Matthew Stafford is looking stronger and healthier, and Iexpect the Lions to rebound from anembarrassing display and hammer the battered Vikings. Lions 31-14

John Niyo: The Vikings rank 31st in the NFL in scoring defense. And they're getting worse. No excuses for the Lions this week. Lions 34-17

From The Detroit News: http://detnews.com/article/20111210/SPO ... ings-(2-10)-at-Lions-(7-5)#ixzz1gFM05tey

My prediction let see who's closer?

The lions will score in the 40's example lions 41 - minn 21 final score

Defense came to play today.

And someone remind me why Alphonso Smith never played early in the season again?

It's weird because the score is 31-14 but I don't feel like the Lions are playing all that great. It's just that Ponder is making some horrifying mistakes.

The penalties are still killing me. Next guy who commits a pre-snap penalty should be shown the locker room.

Very frustrating despite being up 31-21. More dumb penalties, more bad throws from Stafford, more completely inexcusable lack of detail by the defense.

Williams has run well. The run blocking has been solid too. Lions have run very well lately they just haven't run the ball enough.

I like Gunther getting away from the pressure and making Webb throw. That guy outside the pocket is lethal.

Awful ending. Cannot believe it took the refs missing an obvious call to secure the victory. Embarrassing effort in the 2nd half.

I'm happy with the victory and staying with ATL in the pkayoff race but I take away a whole lot more negative than positive frmo this game. If Joe Webb starts over Ponder, Minny wins that game by two touchdowns.

Under further review web was face masked on the final play a red flag should have been thrown repete down. For once this season a call goes our way this non-call could have been the game for the lions if it was called minn would have had another chance .Also to many red flags again in this game against the lions and cliff advill flagged at the 2 off sides was crazy i said her we go again..
