is Isiah really back to controlling things? First knicks give up on the 3 star long term plan by signing chandler and now JC back.

Honestly, I love having a young defensive backcourt of TD & Fields. But Crawford brings this team much needed complementary scoring out of the back court.

The ghost of Zeke bothers me, but I'd be thrilled to get Crawford for Douglas.

Im not a huge fan but he gives us a guy that can break down defenses and pass to Chandler like he used to do with Eddy (lob passes) and another clutch shooter for the playoffs. I can live with this trade as long as SHumpert or Fields are not involved.

i could see barea accepting a 1 year deal here to increase his value if we make this sign and trade

Guys stop crying about defense, I agree we need defense, but not every player on every good team is a good defensive player.

Toney Douglas: $1.1 million
Renaldo Balkman: $1.7 million

TOTAL: $3.7 million

If sent in a trade to the Hawks for Crawford, Crawford's possible first year salary would be $5.6 million ($3.7 million x 150%).

You gotta send Balkman and Douglas to the third team (GSW?) probably. Atlanta is right near the luxury tax and won't go over it for Douglas (most likely).

Douglas would be PERFECT next to Joe Johnson though.

It's going to be fun watching these two break out with a 3-point shooting contest in the middle of a game. All-Star weekend comes early i guess :(

I find this hilarious that only knick fans are complaining while Bulls and Heat fans are saying this is a good move, the Knicks are legit , etc.

This could be the off-season to remember and your complaining. Smh.

We are trading the few defensive players we have for a guy who is one of the worst in the NBA at it.

Crying about defense? Okay, let's trade Chandler for Nene while we're at it if we don't care about defense.

Or is Chandler supposed to be playing defense at all 5 positions?

You expect to bring in players that don't play defense and expect them to magically become a great defensive team? No, we need to bring in guys who actually care and take pride in defense. Chandler is one guy. But we need more.

Isn't it obvious? It's definitely not Donnie's modus operandi to impetuously attempt to trade for these type of players.

I don't understand why are they trying to get the bum, all he is good for is scoring, we dont need that we have that, this has to be Danphony pushing it, I can't stand the guy!

My concern is whether Crawford is being pursued as a starting SG or starting PG?

Obviously, he's better suited for SG, but this could squeeze the roster so thin that he'd be forced to run point.

Bulls fans were happy with Carlos boozer as a free agent signing and Heat fans are pumping up Eddy Curry as the next Shaq. I don't care what any of these fanbases think. It's not like they're the brightest bulbs either. I remember both these fanbses dissing the Knicks for signing Amar'e to that contract. Don't care what those idiots think.

Oh yeah, who are we going to look to for points outside of Melo and Amare? Even if we expect them both to put up 25 a night? Chandler isn't that type of guy...

Fields? TD? Iman? Jefferies?

This team's to thin to complain about a guy that sometimes chucks the ball.. He'd clearly be a offensive threat that this team needs and would be a big boost that is still very much needed.
