Troy Murphy - he can mix it up down low and get some boards and he can spread a team out with his jumper. It would be nice to have a stretch big man other than the White Mamba.

Makes me mildly sad. Sexy did a great job for us last season and I'll miss Stacey's calls for him.

There are lots of journeyman Cs out there and we'll get one of 'em. It's pretty much certain that we'll get weaker at the 3rd C slot so we can only hope that it doesn't matter.

I don't think it will as much as last year, unless Noah's injured for a large portion of the season. Omer was basically a big question mark, and started the season as our 3rd stringer. Now, I feel a lot more comfortable with Omer getting spot starts when needed. I don't see this new guy getting more than 10 minutes on any given night throughout the entire season.

In Omer we trust :usa:

....And Asik will get more favorable calls because of our national exposure from making the ECFs & us having the reigning MVP, IMHO.

Would like another big body for when we face the Dwight Howards of the world, or should Noah or Asik get injured. I would sign either Etan Thomas or Theo Ratliff to replace him.

Forget about Joe. As fantastic as his smile was, it would bug the crap out of me when he would miss easy shots and he would just run back down the floor smiling. That would have never happened with Kurt.

If we are looking for a Kurt replacements, I'd rather go for Joel Przybilla.
Why so serious?

I like Leon the best If he is healthy

Same here, how's his knee? I always liked him on the Celtics, just a hard nosed little **** who wouldn't take anything from anyone. Plus he knows Thib's defense.

His stats haven't been the same since, and he hasn't played a whole lot either. Is it injury, system, or what?

This list + Pryz (if healthy and cheap enough) or Troy Murphy could be a decent option, couldn't really provide minutes at C though. Waiting on a Kenyon Martin return could be decent, but a little risky as I bet he opts for a spot with more playing time (Pryz too likely). Is PJ Brown still grabbing rebounds these days or is he posted on his couch now?

edit - Reggie Evans could be a decent option, he is kind of a dirty player though.

And good luck to Kurt, hope he does well out there with his chances as Portland could definitely use some healthy big men.
