That's a really good trade for New Orleans. Both are good young players to build a franchise with. I'm glad the Celtics weren't gifted with West.

i think thats why everything is on hold. Owners are not allowing superstars to go to big markets right now. we will see how this plays out and hopefully the owners are standing strong on this. Deron just said that stern is being a bully which makes me laugh.

Uh, Houston was trying to pair up Marc Gasol with his brother Pau.
A Gasol-Gasol frontcourt would have been one of the best. That was why Houston was going all out for Pau Gasol.

Actually the Lakers were trying to trade Pau Gasol to Golden State to get young players for the CP3 deal. Since that deal is dead, Lakers will only trade Pau to Orlando for Howard.

Memphis is probably inclined to match the sheet, but if not, they can work a sign-and-trade with Rockets to get something for Gasol.

If reports are correct, it would have been a three team deal - Gasol to GSW, Steph Curry and pieces to NOH, Paul to L.A.

If it really was in order to land Paul, all the salary dumping in the world wouldn't be enough to get them Dwight as a FA with CP3 and Kobe on the roster.
