Isn't it strange Dwight Howard apparently isn't interested in a trade to the Chicago Bulls? Please explain that to me.
Because Dwight wants the bright lights of NY/LA for his "offcourt pursuits."
Because Dwight has lied to us all along. It was always about "winning a championship." That's obviously not true otherwise he'd be chomping at the bit to go to Chicago.
I like this team

Re: Official Speculation & Free Agency Thread (Part V) NEW S
The Lakers are reportedly unwilling to trade both Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol in exchange for Dwight Howard.
The Lakers feel that the team can acquire another big man to replace Lamar Odom behind Bynum and Gasol using the trade exception acquired from Dallas. It will be interesting to see what the ultimate end game is for GM Mitch Kupchak, and he's got to address the depth issues for his team before the season begins.

GS will still need a C if Biedrins is dealt. i don't think any are available anymore are they?
Chandler - NYK
Nene - NJN
Dalembert - DAL
Jordan - LAC
Hayes - SAC
who else is out there that they can sign?
or do they just go for a trade to absorb Okafor's deal?
how much extra room did waiving Bell give them?

So no cap-room teams chose to bid on Arenas and he's free to negotiate w/anyone. Told he hopes to land on same team that trades for Dwight

Re: Official Speculation & Free Agency Thread (Part V) NEW S
who are the big teams with cap space next summer? New York is out of the hunt.
NJ - will need to amnesty Outlaw, but can sign Nene and still get to about $16M under.
DAL - will be able to get under enough to sign a max guy. will lose a lot of their depth in the process though.
BOS - will have Rondo and Pierce and room for stars. i don't consider them a threat though, their window has closed.
LAC - will have a great core of Jordan/Griffin/Butler/Gordon to add someone to.
IND - will probs still have enough for a max, and Granger/West/George/Collison at the core.
thankfully the Lakers and Knicks won't be in the running.
does anyone else look at that list and think 'if we can clear enough room for Deron/Paul we can be an equally attractive option as them'???

I wonder if Otis can back out of the Wafer trade and go straight after Williams? I'd take him over Wafer any day.

Wow, Nike is a advertising MACHINE. That was one of the most unique ways ever to promote a shoe.
That was badass. Wow! Good job Nike

I`m not sure but I think if Houston makes some moves, they`ll have cap space.

I swear I'm not trying to talk down on him when I say this......
But I think he doesn't want to be in Rose's shadow. Derrick is the poster boy for the NBA right now, if Dwight goes there, he'd be the definitive number 2.

nah, they'd be a duo, the same way LBJ and Wade are, or Kobe and Shaq were.
remember, Dwight is the leading Allstar vote getter. he's more popular than we give him credit for.

@Orlando_Magic close to inking @jrich23. GM Otis Smith said it wouldn't have been possible without waiving Gil Arenas for lux tax reasons.

I'm going to die if poster's start complaining about using the Amnesty on Gunbert. I would expect nothing else from this board though lol.
