I'd do a better job than Dwight Howard.

No one is saying let the man run the show, but don't you think that doing a little more than "Shut up Dwight, let me do my job.... Shut up Stan, I got this.... I'm giving you ONE center and 13 30 yr old guards....go win a championship" would help?

Please God let us see that Otis got the boot and lets start mending these fences. I will be willing to forgive this ish if Otis is gone and we can work it out.

But Otis is being compared to a GM who has not even put together a play off team? Is that where we are? How many GM's have had Otis' success over the past few years? And please don't tell me it was only Dwight, cause JJ (drafted) played a role, as did C-Lee (drafted), Rashard (Signed), Hedo, Rafer Alston (Traded for), AJ (signed), Bass (signed), Ryan (Traded for) all played a part as well. Sure he has had his busts, including Vince, and trading Ariza, and Gortat for scraps, but to compare the dude to Isiah is disturbing and revisionist history. But i apologize for getting in the way of you Otis bashing. Please continue...

Dwight Howard.

Edit: let me clarify. Even Thoms would have won games with Dwight Howard in the East.

Dwight Howard.

Maybe if we say it enough he'll realize that Isiah didn't inherit a MVP caliber player.

He also didn't draft Dwight (and Nelson)... so yes, inherit is the operative word

Also he gave out some ridiculous bloated contracts (length and pay) for "not so great" talents (any other team wouldn't overpay for scrubs like Duhon, Q-Rich, etc.)

Anyways, I don't care for the Thomas/Otis thing... Thomas was a terrible GM imo... Otis is bad, but not as bad as Thomas.

Doing everything the primadona poster wants worked so well for the magic forum. If Ballah was a good GM he'd have a job as a GM, not as a professional paddle player

Someone should tell Dwight Howard that Michael Jordan objected to Oak for Cartwright. Went on to win three titles.

Wow keeps getting better and better and I mean the implosion going on. Its on Orlando Sentinel now and I read some of the stuff. Didn't get the time to watch the video yet.

Tell eyrig I am looking for him. He said the worse part of all this was admitting that maginno might have been right all these years. I want his resignation form our ongoing argument effective IMMEDIATELY on my desk in the morning    .

Still I was wrong. I knew Otis was incompetent but I had no idea his arrogance made him even more incompetent than it seemed. This is a war now. Seems to me Otis started the volley by making it public and Dwight is going to throw him under the bus now.

and all this time I kept hearing yabber tht Stan was the problem Dwight had when clearly it was Otis that was the biggest in more than one way.

Looking for you eyrig. You can't hide boy. I will call your momma.

New Orleans looking like they are going to get the Minny 1st and Gordon. A very nice trade for selling the team. Owner coming in and new GM might have 2 top 5 picks with a very nice wing.

Ok, lets play this game.

How many young MVP caliber players are in the league? Wade, Lebron, Chris Paul, Melo, Durant, Westbrook, Rose, Amare, Deron Williams, Dwight. Did i leave anyone out? Out of those guys who has had the most play off and regular season success? And remember that of those only three have been in the league for a shorter time than Dwight.

Let me save you some time. The only guy who has approximately the same amount of playoff success as Dwight is Lebron, and he had to team up with Wade and Bosh to get back to the finals. Let's forget that at one point we had one of the deepest teams in the league and had essentially two starting 5's. Let's forget that this depth came to our aid on many occasions, when Dwight was suspended and we still managed to blow out a Philadelphia team on the road without our superman. Lets forget how JJ stepped up when C-Lee got injured and he had to go up against Ray Allen.

Let's forget how we made the finals with a squad that Otis engineered. Lets just forget that it was him who made the moves to clear cap space to sign Rashard in the first place, including getting rid of the contract of Steve Francis which many thought impossible because he was so bad and over paid. But he's a horrible GM and should be fired. Cause you know, it's not like he's done any good around here.

More than one source in Orlando points to the very limited options Dwight has to "walk away"- the franchise is not actively exploring trades

Don't know how you can completely defend Otis. We all know he didn't bring in enough help to win and has gotten progressively worse every year. We all know he doesn't go after the type of players we really need. Dwight knows it too. But it ain't over yet.

They've been pretty open about it, so yeah, could be true.

here is a somewhat serious question- but kinda far out.

if you are the clippers, and it looks like gordon+minny 1st gets you CP3- do you then potentially deal Blake+Jordan+Kaman's expiring for Dwight+Hedo to pair the two super duper stars in LA?

cuz i say yes to that in before my heart beats
