Its complete BS what Dwights doing now. He's just trying to put the blame on someone else. He wants to leave. I think he's mad at Otis cause Otis let everyone know the truth about him wanting to be traded. I'm glad Otis did that. I think we should be happy that Otis came out and busted Dwight on his BS.

If Otis doesn't get fired, is that proof he has something major on someone in the Devos family

If Dwight stays the year, we should get him some help and Otis' job depends on how well we do in the playoffs and/or whether Dwight re-signs with us or not.

Guy just amnestied a player he traded that cost his boss 20 million dollars extra and the one person who he should have a good relationship - the franchise player - just threw him under the bus. Even if Dwight stays it will be awfully strange if Otis keeps his job.

Don't get me wrong, I would like him gone either way because he's just made too many wrong moves and few average ones. What I'm saying is if he's able to bring in some adequate players this year and somehow re-sign Dwight after all of this, doesn't that deserve some forgiveness and buy him some time?

you damn right, just listen to today's interview, he talked about wanting it to do this as quiet as possible when he spoke to management . He is scared to get the Lebron treatment.

Thats not the point. He had to use it on him but it was his trade to begin with and one forced by his long ago bungling on the Shard contract that cost his owner that extra cash.

If that's really the case, then that would certainly change my opinion of Dwight. But, Otis has proved time and time again that he's an idiot, so I'm less inclined to side with him.

I'm pretty happy about it. I also think Dwight did meet with the Nets, and Otis is covering it up cause Dwight would be suspended.

everyone needs to relax...

all we can do as fans is harass dwight on twitter and try to get thru to him, and we can flood the magic org with emails

season ticket holders can speak with their wallets to show their displeasure

i think the fans are the ones that can help mend this situation by voicing their frustration...BOTH sides are embarrassing us this we can agree on right?

dwight IMO seems like a highly confused person i believe his agents are filling his head with bull. i believe his heart is here but his mind is being filled by others causing doubt.

Otis Smith is not helping things. his little tantrum during the BVW presser was incredibly uncalled for.

the only people showing any class are the players and stan van gundy. The lakers didnt cave to kobe and winning cured the problems. I believe that can happen here to.

I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

Dwight is acting like he's doing us a favor by letting the team know ahead of time he wants to leave. He's doing his wallet a favor by trying to get traded so he can make the extra money. Thats what its all about. He's wanted to leave for awhile, because the rumors about the Lakers have been around. He wants to go to a team of his choice and get fully compensated for it. I would really just keep him and make him look like a a-hole all season. Then make him take 30 million less to leave.

That makes no sense for a team that wants to still try and keep him OR who you have to work with to get the best deal. If I even bought your premise, if you are the GM responsible for keeping a player you make a president or somebody else break the news.

That was a hard ball move but the precise kind of hard ball move that WILL make a player sign somewhere for less.

Who gives a rip about the question you asked. I don't. I clarified what my post means. live with it. The point was never the amnestying itself it was being in the position to have cost the organization the extra multi millions to begin with on an asset that was never much good.

Fact Signing a player that you had to amnesty the next season and pay out additionally over rashards contract is a waste of Devos money. If you can't get that either stay in school or go back

Whatever. I'm glad we know the real Dwight Howard now. It sucks to face reality though. I guess we saw it coming when he knocked up the cheerleader after being so religious and was ashamed to admit it was his kid. Or when he was following the porn star around trying to "show her Jesus". He lies, and thats the way it is. I thought he was different though but I guess not.

Does dwight really think billy king or mitch kupchak will give howard a heads up. Just ask Kobe about Mike Brown and the Odom trade.

I think monday is going to be very akward. You have a very upset star, a ahole gm who wants to trade him but can't due to owners and a coach annoyed by the whole situation.

The only way to calm the whole thing down is to get someone big to make dwight happy. Problem is I don't think otis is competant to do it or even motivated to try.

I say fire Otis and let Stuff be the Gm.
