If I don't have a QB like Rodgers, Brees, Brady etc. And I have to take my chances with an average or slightly below average QB, I'd take someone like Tebow who doesn't throw picks and at least gives you a chance to be in the game in the 4th quarter. If I'm Elway, I still look to acquire a franchise QB. I just think all of the hate directed at Tebow is a bit ridiculous. Hate Skip Bayless, but all Tebow is doing is trying to win games with his mediocre talent.

What are you talking about? Those two FGs were beautiful. He's got a huge leg.

I agree with this 150%. The numbers just aren't there (aside from his completion percentage) to say that he is a terrible QB. He is winning games. He might be a more mobile Trent Dilfer, but, like I said before, even Trent Dilfer has a Super Bowl ring.

I love the 'more mobile Trent Dilfer' analogy, that is exactly what he is.

No. Dilfer could actually complete basic passes.

Tebow probably does throw a better bounce pass than Dilfer.

This.

This x 2, but FWIW, there was nothing out of the ordinary on the play. He didn't plant funny or get landed on to make his leg bend in an odd way. It looked like a sprain/strain at worst. I wouldn't be surprised if this was in the minority where the injury wasn't as bad as initially reported.

I agree. It looked like a bruise (not sure how though given how he landed) or some type of minor sprain or strain.

And when Tebow has a defense than allows only 10 PPG he'll be relevant.

Beating a good team would also be cool.

All hail Ra.

The biggest key to his success in most of these wins is Tebow hasn't been losing games via interceptions through the first three quarters as the defense manages to keep games close enough that it's not over already.

Today was a typical Tebow win in this stretch of games. Denver/Tebow puts zero points on the board through the first 56 minutes of the game until he leads them on a TD drive with two minutes left to make the score 10-7.

In roughly 90-95 percent of NFL games, if your offense doesn't score any points until 2 minutes are left, the game is toast because the other team will be up by to many points. Then Barber brainfarts twice to further keep Denver in the game.

We've seen this multiple other times in this 8 game stretch. That said, i won't just ignore as some have done when it comes to how Tebow has performed late in these games. It's pretty crazy how he can keep going from being inept for 55 minutes and then consistently put together drives late that help Denver win, even if he's also needed help by brainfarts from opposing teams.

I don't envy the position it puts Elway in. Denver fans now are in absolute love with Tebow and thus it will be very very hard for Elway to draft a QB high in the next draft.

“If you believe, unbelievable things can sometimes be possible” - Tim Tebow

I say hate the game, not the player.

The masses like him because he defies probability. The media likes him because he sells. Tebow gives credit to everyone involved. What is the problem here?

Yeah, he might not be great, but it's only what, his second year? It's not like he can't continue to improve.

Yeah, I thought it was good enough to replace my James Naismith quote. Lol.

I am the last person I would have ever expected to do so, but I'm officially drinking the Tebow kool-aid. Whether he has a good arm or not, he single handedly wills those guys to victory. It's one of the most unbelievable things I've seen.
