Sherril is the best left handed reliever on the market, so he would be a great low level signing. The lack of LHP relievers that we have right now is going to cost us a few games next year.

Agreed he would make a good lefty for us, not sure I'm ok with just having Perez down there. Santos, Perez, Jansen, Sherrill and then 3 more RHP whoever makes the team.

The Mariners should be bringing relief pitcher George Sherrill back into the fold nearly four years after he was traded to the Baltimore Orioles in the Erik Bedard swap.

A source confirmed today that the two sides made " a lot of progress last night" towards a one-year, incentive-laden package that could be announced early next week after a routine physical. As of today, the sides were finalizing terms of the agreement.
