Luxury Tax

Post#1 » by rmpcsl » Mon Dec 12, 2011 4:38 pm

Hey fellows I realize OKC need to extend RW Maynor Harden and Ibaka in the next 2 years this will put us higher then the luxury tax when it starts to be harder (2014)

This year we have available for DH12 if we put together the best package of all nba teams.

What comes to me is DH12 could end up cheaper (more valuable?) then all our resigned players.

What I heard about OKC offer is we can give them RW+Perk+Picks but if we put Ibaka (I like him a lot but the money he is going to ask??) on that trade it is the best offer of all teams and could be finacially better to avoid the Luxury Tax in 2014

Imagine this near future:
RW (13mil/year)
Perk (8mil/year)
Ibaka (10mil/year)
Sefo(3.9mil/year)
per
DH12 (19mil/year)
Ryan Anderson (3mil/year)

It will be around 35mil per year against 22mil per year

Now the roster:
RW/Maynor/Reggie
Harden/Sefo/Cook
KD/(Brewer??)
Ibaka/Collison
Perk/Nazi/Cole Aldrich

with this trade (suposely)
RW+Ibaka+Perk+Sefo+Nazi(expiring)
for
DH12+Ryan Anderson

against this roster:
(Billups??)/Maynor/Reggie
Harden/Cook
KD/(Brewer??)
Collison/Anderson
DH12/Cole Aldrich

What could be better for us guys??

Your betting on Billups to be playing at a high level in 2014 haha

Thunder should just trade Westbrook, Maynor, Cook, Hayward, and Ivey for Rondo, and Avery Bradley

Rondo contract is at 10 mil a year.
